tying her into the Corvin bloodline is a great idea! So she's on the list and would have to deal with this anyway. Who knows what an injection would do to her. Vamp/lycan crossover + slayer. yikes.
But now she's got an excuse to find the protagonists of the film that actually make sense... and it's apparent this is pre-film or during-the-film......

I had a lot of fun with the Underworld films, and hope to have the same with this story. I'll be tracking to find out.

OK, she survived the gun fight. Considering how much ammunition is used in a typical lycan vampire gun fight I was not sure that you intended Buffy to survive. So will she realize that she was lucky. Will she consult Giles? and is it before or after the events in Underworld?
Unless Buffy takes up guns and finds the right ammo, she is not going to survive long in the underworld war between the lycans and the vampires. I look forward to the answers to these and other question.

Being the unexpected wildcard with the two deathdealers taking out the two lycans is the only reason she's still alive. Of course, she doesn't realise the vampires are deathdealers.

That's all I'm going to say at this point ;-)

Great story! I like the twist with Buffy not in the know about these breeds of vamps. As for the bodies left in her wake..somehow i get the feeling that the vamp in charge of the lycan hit squad has cops on the payroll who in form him or her of some dead vamps and clean the site up. I hope you plan to keep the vamps and any lycans a little clueless about what Buffy/Anne is for a while. Perhaps to them the Slayer is fictional story to scare young vamps with or perhaps you have a different goal in mind. Either way I will be tuning in to see how this tale shapes up.

This is really interesting. Poor Buffy, bodies left at the scene and a good forensics lab might match to her DNA or something...though the vamps apparently are good at hiding their tracks.
I can't believe that the council doesn't know about these types of vamps. Possibly they have a "leave them alone, all they do is fight the lycans" policy. With B's luck, there's a treaty and she just broke it. I can't believe they've never encountered a slayer, something like her stumbling across them has to have happened before...
So likely there's a hands off order, or a treaty or both..... too bad she can't call Giles. Maybe she should anyway...but is probably still too traumatized by end of season 2...
And to think if she gets scratched by a Lycan, she'll become a slayer-lycan. heh.
These are probably demons that are a lot like vampires....(just to classify them)
