Intriguing concept.

I love that Xander's ability to heal also results in the ability to kill. Who has him? Some weird experimenting types, a la Striker? Knocking someone out doesn't seem the X-Men style, so... Brotherhood? I love Xander anyway, so I think this aspect works really well.

And Buffy, is her weakness a result of the healing or the result of a latent mutant power now wakening? I liked that she and Angel split, although you've left that open - she might end up with Angel in the end, at least that's what Whistler's suggesting, but do the Powers really know if she'll be waiting? So there's the chance she could end up with someone else. Or go through enough relationships to make a new relationship with Angel a true adult one.

So far you have connections to the mutant world without it being over the top and obvious and that works very well.

I also like Buffy's relationship with her father. It petered out in the show, but I enjoy dotingdaddy!Hank as much as evilbastard!Hank and leftforyourowngood!Hank. Wondering which one this will turn out to be.

Will Willow have abilities or is she connected in a different way?

Thanks for the interest.

1) Xander's ability was actually what started me on this story. I had that and his destiny in my head first. He's going into a dark place and in time he will have to face his choices.

2) Buffy's the one I have to spend a lot of time settling in the next chapters then I shift the story focus over on Willow for a while.

3) The Buffy/Angel relationship is over for this entire story. I have an entirely different boy in mind for her and in fact I am working on one for Xander too.

4) There is something going on with Buffy's dad that's incredibly essential for Buffy's story. I am worried if the story pulls it off correctly and in fact it was the reason I didn't start posting this months ago.

5) Willow will be my human perspective in this story. She won't be getting "powers" like Xander. However she will be pulled out of Sunnydale and move into a very different world which will link her up with Xander and Buffy later on.

The mission statement for this story is really to show perspectives and reactions to racism and a world with superhumans.

How would 12 year old Xander have herd of the F4 when at best they only got there powers recently?
I only gave an 7 because I don't like Buffy being striped of her Slayer powers and I hope her mutant powers more than make up for it.

You're seeing the FF as something from the movies. I just decided that the FF was in my corner of the Marvel verse something that started around the time that Xander was 11 or 12 so there ;)

As for Buffy getting stripped of her powers I wouldn't had a story without that (at least not one I wanted to write) but I hope you'll stick because I kind of like the payoff (I like her powers).

As for the next update I promise it will be very soon.

Very interesting. I only have a cursory knowledge of the X-Men universe but I think this story will definitely be one to keep following. What the new future holds for the Scoobies should be exciting to find out.

PS: I Guarantee A Continuation of the Buffy Carter verse! This is merely my in-between project or rather the one I ended up writing. I had four different projects going for a while to see what I really wanted and what I felt was worth continuing and this one narrowly won out over a Buffy/NCIS crossover (and over a Buffy/Firefly and a Buffy/Aliens crossver).

weird AU, but interesting. Presumably as a Summers, she'll end up with an energy-based power? (Like Cyclops & Havok?) while already being a competent martial artist... Kind of funny, her personality is very different from Scott's "super serious" attitude... meanwhile looks like Xander is joining the Brotherhood. Ouch.
At least Willow will end up in the general area. Maybe her pencil-floating ability is really a mutant ability that she just thought was magic?

What makes you think Buffy's going to be related to Scott... They will clash over personality eventually (at first Buffy is going to be too busy finding her stride really argue anything).

As for Xander well you're right but he will have his reasons and Willow in the general area. You're right again... although I am going to take her out of Sunnydale as well (for storytelling purposes the three scoobies don't all experience the same change immediately). And her pencil floating was magic at least that's my standpoint at this moment
