I seriously miss my regular gaming sessions, but I just don't have time for them these days, alas. This is a fun kind of substitute ...

OK I'm hooked, that was an awesome beginning, I cant wait to see where you take this.

Your D&D world seems pretty interesting too, looking forward to learning more of that too.

Well done and thanks for sharing.
Comments from author:
Half the fun in D&D is the world building. I'm trying to avoid dropping massive info dumps in the text - but on the other hand, Giles and Willow want to know what they're getting into!

Just found this, at one level I think it is pity you are sticking to the rules of 2nd ed AD&D, I never liked the way D&D treated magic, at least until 4ed. However, Giles a dragon, cool! So I look forward to more.
Comments from author:
Well, I'm going to try and stop the rules being instrusive, so it's more about the spirit of the game play than anything else ...

That being said, I've been playing D&D since it came out in three books in a small white box, so I've a feeling various ideas from various editions will creep in from time to time. 2nd Edition is the one I've got the electronic core rules for, and am probably most familiar with - but I've a whole collection of additional supplements, side rules, variants, extra spells, magic items, monsters, race guides and so on, all of which have probably contributed to my campaigns over the years. There's not going be anything 'pure' about this - and the magic will have to work in the story context, so hopefully I can make it work for you too.
