The interaction between Dawn and Buffy was very nice, and the explanation about why Samuel was sent made sense; Samuel's dad is that sneaky, and would want him to find a reason to be excited about being alive.

First of all thanks for continuing this story, with an opening like the first chapter it just made us beg for more!

I think the Buffy Dawn interaction was awesome, especially since they were being so open with each other.

I have to say I do kinda hope that a meeting with Mercy is in the eventual future, I'd think that if they didn't kill each other that they'd get along scarily well... Then of course poor Adam and Sam would be doomed.

I really like this story. I'm a big fan of the Mercy Thompson series and I really like Samuel. It would be nice to see him find someone to love. I loved Dawn's thought of Buffy being smart because it was the truth, I also loved her threat against him. I hope to see more parts in this story.

It stretches a little to think that Samuel, and not Charles, would be sent to assassinate someone, but Samuel's reaction to Buffy was interesting enough to allow me to ignore that tiny OOC moment.

Yeah, I was kind of going with Samuel was sent to get his mind off of Mercy angle. If I pursue this further, it would get explained, but otherwise, its my OOC time. :)

I was sad when I couldn't even find a Mercy category under books! Anyway, this was originally intended as a one-shot, but I may make it a multi-chapter. Probably no Oz though. It would definitely be more of a character driven exploration piece. Because I fail at plots. LOL
