1. BUFFY LED them into a trap, a trap with unprepared troops against an unkown enemy with only one entrance\exit.
2. BUFFY put the safety of a VAMPIRE above that of her friends.
3. Buffy refused to listen to anyone other Spike, a vampire that had just recently been under the control of the enemy she was supposed to fight.
4. Buffy chose a vampire over the son of a fellow Slayer murdered by said vampire.
Buffy was consistently disloyal to those who had had her back for SEVEN years, while acting like a total bitch and chosing a vampire who'd consistently tried to kill them all the way up to Season 5 and attempted to rape her less than a Season 6. A vampire so changed by his new soul, he continued to wear the leather jacket he'd ripped from the dead body of a Slayer.
Look up writers' fiat, you might learn something.
Oh and read something other than Anne Rice. You might learn something about healthy relationships.

On the one hand, complexity is not a bad thing...but on the other, I have some unresolved Empty Places issues too. I had a fun time reading this fic. :-)

Wow, this fic sucks. Buffy got exactly what she deserved for acting like the god-complex uber bitch that she was.
Best thing ever to happen for the Scoobies was for that ego-maniacal, ,sister neglecting, rapist loving necrophiliac would be for her to leave them permanently.
Just because a bunch of crappy writers decided to (of course) make her turn out to be right in the end does not excuse her for telling a human that Spork could kill him and she would watch. Wow, what a hero she is.
She got what she deserved.

EXCELLANT. Just another example of Joss's failures. This should have been addressed in that bs comics crap but as usual he is too dense to figure it out. Actually it should have been dealt with before the show ended. Ultimate betrayal by all those she had fought and DIED TWICE for.
There should be more stories out there dealing with Joss's many screwups.

I always hated that Buffy never got an apology or anything. That episode is so painful to watch that I have a very hard time watching it on the dvds. I'm glad to see someone else had issues, too. I'd love to see what Buffy's life is like by herself.

I am in such agreement on that this could serve as a jumping off point to so many other crossover fics. Especially Supernatural, my current and favorite tv show obsession. I could see Buffy taking off with her stuff and the Scythe, and then becoming a lone hunter and somehow coming across one or two of the Winchesters.... Either John, Dean or Sam, or any combination there of (John and Dean or Dean and Sam) or hell, even comign across Gordon Walker (the bastard), Ellen and Jo Harvelle, or Bobby Singer.
Good stuff. This really would serve as a great prologue into another x-over like Highlander or Lara Croft or Anita Blake. There are numerous possibilities for another story. If I were more motivated, I would definitely want to use this as a start. Anyway, nicely done and all that jazz.
Great story and also one I can really emphasize with. I never understood how Buffy just forgave the scoobies this betrayal. Especially since they all betrayed her in the past: Xander (season two finale), Willow (the whole resurrection affair) and Giles (the cruciamentum and the Spike assassination attempt).
I think a quote from one of my favorite BtVS fanfics "Bikini Fic" by Bobbi (can be found on BuffynFaith.net) mirrors my thoughts exactly on the scoobies behaviour.
Faith talking to Buffy:
"You're still mad because they turned on you, and I don't blame ya. ‘Cause that's just what they did B, they turned on you like a buncha ungrateful, backstabbing, two-faced pussies. It got tough, and not one of them had your back."
