Review of chapter "(BtVS/Overclocked) A History of Violence" from Carojen
Review:
That was too sad. I hope Xander finds out the truth and makes a happy ending.
Comments from author:
Thanks, the game the ficlet is based on actually had a happier ending, but I didn't think it fit with the tone of the ficlet (or the game for that matter) and did this instead.

Review:
I've cherry-picked from these ficlets the fandoms I have some knowledge of -- TSCC, NCIS, Dollhouse, Iron Man, Star Wars. I've really enjoyed all of them; you pack a lot of ideas and visions for the future into each one. Satisfying bits but you wouldn't mind seeing more. The TtSCC ficlets are particularly intriguing and offer up so many possibilities for further stories. I adore Xander in NCIS stories, so those were a joy to read. The SW one is a bit scary as a Xander raised/trained by Vader is a truly scary idea. The two Iron Man ficlets--I really like Xander finds a family stories, and even though I'm only barely cognizant of the film/fandom, you paint the picture so well it's more than enough to enjoy a Xander who is cared for, learning and healing.

I look forward to seeing what else your imagination comes up with. Thank you for sharing.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you liked those stories. I know not every fandom is for everyone so I try to make it clear in the chapter title what's involved so people can cherry-pick like you did (or like I try to do with other people's collections to be honest). I don't really have any plans to do more with those stories, but that's not saying they'll never get written.

'Heroes Heir' was a ficlet a lot of people seemed to like and I had several email conversations going that got the idea stuck in my head until it grew so large it demanded to become a fic unto itself.

NCIS is one of my favourite shows, so it's likely I will return to the 'Xander Gibbs'verse at some point. Same with Iron Man depending on how much I get into the next movie. 'Metal Born Protector' is one I've been debating on doing a full story eventually, though it would still likely only be a few chapters long. Recently though 'Apprenticeship' has been clawing around in my brain and begging to be written. If I ever do write it the first couple chapters would focus on Xander's training with Darth Vader before delving into the events of the game, with twists of course. A straight retelling would just be boring to write.

Anyways, I'm rambling on, so thanks for the review and hopefully my head can still make it through the doorway :)

Review:
This would definitely make a great story!
Comments from author:
I agree, though I don't have the time or inspiration to myself. Anyone is welcome to use the ficlet for a story though.

Review:
A great interpretation of 'the one who see'. Well done, but what was the crossover with Agent Carver?
Comments from author:
Thanks. The crossover was with the movie Push. Despite what some people say about plot holes and such I didn't find that any of its perceived flaws really took away from the experience and would highly recommend it.

Review:
This was a wonderful follow up and I am hoping that you consider a third story in this series.

Thanks
Calia
Comments from author:
Thank you. I'm not sure about a third installment, but it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility. Especially with Iron Man 2 on it's way next year and the fact that the first is one of my favourite movies and I tend to watch it about once a month.

Review:
will Willow and Jesse have any role (minor or major) to play in his life now that he is out of the Dale?

excellent work
Comments from author:
Thanks. If I were to continue I would give his old life in Sunnydale a role. Even if it was just a throwaway line about a phone conversation with Willow. I actually have an image stuck in my head of a mid-teen Xander Stark running into Cordelia and her sheep at some high society function.

Review of chapter "(BtVS/Iron Man [2008]) Son of Iron" from Bugeyedmonster
Review:
If you ever get the urge to finish this one, I will read it.

I've always felt that Xander's 'zeppo-hood' was more due to his parents' possible emotional/verbal abuse. He might have seemed to be the dumb one, but under stress he always came through and showed some real smarts. His brains are there, but Tony Harris probably always put Xander down as he was afraid that Xander was smarter than him.

Am I making sense?

Anyways... nice ficlet.

Glad you liked it.

The way I always saw Xander was that he understood practical application over theory, especially if it was something that interested him. Then he would excel.

Aww... loved that. Love the idea of the prank war. And Pepper assaulting a paparazzi. Ha! Go Pepper!

Xander being convinced that something bad will happen if Tony goes to Afghanistan; is that the "One Who Sees" starting to show?

"but they were slowing getting him to try harder" I think you mean "slowly" instead of "slowing."

Anyway, if you feel like doing more in this AU-verse, I will read it.

Comments from author:
Thanks, I just couldn't get the idea of the prank war between them out of my head. Originally Pepper stopped it without pranking herself, but I found it more amusing with her beating them at their own game.

The Afghanistan part I left vague on purpose to let the reader's imagination interpret it their own way. On the one had, it could easily be a keen 'One Who Sees' insight starting to show. On the other, it could just as easily be as Pepper thought, the separation anxiety of a traumatized youth.

And yes, I did indeed mean "slowly". I appreciate you pointing it out and I have made the change. Thanks.
