I'm amazed that I didn't see this story 4 years ago since the pairing is one of my favorites. I enjoyed reading the first four chapters very much and will miss not reading the whole story but everyone who reads FF are used to unfinished stories. I'm sorry for the difficulties and hardships you've endured since posting chapter 4. Thanks for the summary, it sounds like it was a great story but it's even nicer to hear that you're back on your feet. I hope the experiences have not killed your desire to write and rusty talent just needs some practice to polish it up. Good Luck.

Great update. Loved the teasing between Tara and Buffy about the night Tara comforted Buffy, and also how Tara thought about and realized that she couldn't go back to her friends.

one could make a case that Buffy is an Immortal that no other immortal ever contacted & explained the game to. That drowning & 'resuscitation' by Xander is highly suspicious. Same with the rebirth in S6 (maybe Willow unknowingly jump-started her as one?) at end of S7 she gets a sword through her and is fine minutes later, etc. ....for that matter since all slayers died very young, there's always the chance that getting the slayer -spirit/power makes them immortal, but all of them died before it was clear they weren't aging. Just a thought....

I'm glad I just now caught up on your story. I think you are doing a very good job with Tara and Immortal Tara's characters. I wonder if Buffy has become immortal since she has come back from the dead so many times. Lol! I look forward to more of your lovely story.

I was thinking about the first episode of season one of Highlander where Connor made an appearance. It seems to me that both Duncan and Connor knew that Richie was a preimmortal. I think that was one reason that Duncan didn't turn him over to the cops when Richie broke into his antique shop.

Your story is very interesting and entertaining so far. However, I would urge you to avoid throwing in fanservice items such as Tara living in a place identical to Duncan's and Tara having the katana, unless there's a good explanation in your story for them being there. I think you've definitely got enough material from HL, without any gratuitous add-ins, to keep the reader's interest, with Tara being an immie and with an appearance by Amanda (and foreshadowing for more Amanda).
