Review of chapter "Chapter Five: The Devil’s Hand" from Strangyr
Review:
I just got through the last chapter of the storey and cant wait for your next update......oh and Xanders relationship with Jenny doesn't seem half as creepy now that it is kind of in the open amongst his friends(or at least the ones who are with him).
At one point I thought you were building their relationship up emotionally so that you could kill her off thus creating another strong driving force to motivate Xanders actions.(for vengeance or justice or some such)

I Digg It,
Strangyr
Comments from author:
Xander already has a driving force for vengeance. Killing of Jenny for that reason would be too much of a gimmick. And, the reason she died in the tv show was kind of stupid. In a public place at night with reason to be targetted? Not the smartest thing to do.

Here, I try to make them intelligent, so unless they catch a stray bullet, there's some logic to why characters die.

Thanks.

Review of chapter "Chapter One: The Pebble that Creates the Avalanche" from Strangyr
Review:
OK.....I'm lovin this storey.........but please tell me Jenny dies soon.......the relationship with Xander is kind of skeeven me out.....I don't have a problem with stuff like that in fanfic.......but this one is just kind of creepy......especially sense there are girls his own age that seem to be interested. Don't get me wrong......Everything else so far I have really enjoyed about this storey......I'm lookin forward to Xanders eventual meeting with Fury.

Bard on,
Strangyr
Comments from author:
Just because there are girls that are interested in him, doesn't mean he's interested in them. Xander's different, for various reasons, from how he was originally, which somewhat influences what he wants. I don't mean drastically, but in terms of maturity level and things like that.

Thanks.

Review of chapter "Prologue: Welcome to America" from vitruvian
Review:
Since you seem to be focusing on lesser known and peripheral Marvel characters (with the exception of the sidelong references to the current movie versions of Iron Man and Hulk), any chance of seeing the movie or TV version of Blade in this (despite the Tomb of Dracula as fiction reference)? Other favorites (besides 'Carl Lucas', who's got to meet Xander sometime):

Devil-Slayer
Man-Thing
Howard the Duck (hey, he lives in Cleveland, which is the other Hellmouth, right?)
Jennifer Kale
Anthony Druid (hey, he even had an affiliation with Elsa's dad)
Brother Voodoo
Dr. Strange (hey, Elsa mentioned Mindless Ones...)
Jack Russell
Simon Garth
Shang-Chi
Daimon Hellstrom

and hey, the Ghost Rider movie wasn't too bad, either....
Comments from author:
Blade's a possibility. As are a number of characters, some mentioned. But, I'm trying to avoid adding in too many since the characters have to operate well enough under the radar to not be public figures and/or have powers that aren't too obviously supernatural or powerful. Luke Cage is one that could be discounted as exaggeration as opposed to actually being superstrong and having unbreakable skin. Although I found the Shang-Chi comics I've read to be kind of boring.

So, no Howard the Duck either.

That and I haven't read enough of some of those to be able to try at characterization, though I've heard of them. I don't want this to become a story where Xander just runs into Marvel characters all the time, it has to at least somewhat be driven by plot and not simple coincidence. But, I'll add it when it fits, simply to integrate the worlds together more. Speaking of which, a couple more Marvel characters do show up in the next chapter.

Thanks.

Review of chapter "Chapter Two: The Peak of the Mountain" from Supershaggy
Review:
The story is coming along nicely.
I wonder when Nick Fury will meet Xander.
Probably after the tournament?
Comments from author:
Yes. Nick has to investigate to figure out who Xander is and where he is. It's not an easy process.

Thanks.
