PERFECT! Lovely timing!

Once the carpetbag made it's appearance, I kinda figured that Giles' Nana was Mary Poppins.

I didn't know that Bert's surname was Moneypenny. (That's the only person I can imagine her marrying.)

I don't think that PL Travers gave Bert a surname as such - but Moneypenny seemed appropriate somehow!

Well, Giles did mention he had cousins ... :-)

Hard to avoid the carpet bag, which was the inspiration for the story. I was challenged to write a tale about Giles and a handbag - this was probably cheating, but it can be hard to argue such details with my muse!

The movie only gave a glimpse - and a rather sacharine one at that - of the wonder that is Mary. The books are much, much better.
