You know, just to be a geek about the numbers, I tried to figure out just how much power Dawn was channeling here.
So I hopped over to Wikipedia and found the average power output of the Sun and then multplied by a four minute charge period.
TNT equivalent: 21.6 *trillion* gigatons. I thought about trying to figure the wattage of that bunch, but given the the sun's wattage output is a 27-digit number *every second*...
...yeah.
Liking these vignettes. So where do I feed the muse?

I like it. But shouldn't Sam be more, um, circumspect about her location? It's not necessarily a secure line.
Also, what popped into my head:
“A hundred quintillion miles,” said Summers into her phone. “No, it's a real number. ... No, it /is/ a real number. Ask Willow! Look, I have to go. I'll call you back later.” She snapped her phone shut, and looked around. “What?”
Comments from author:
Unfortunately, I goofed in my math. It's only 100 quadrillion miles, not quintillion. I suppose I could try to say it was Sam's mistake, when she did the multiplication in her head, but that's not the sort of mistake she'd make. I guess I'll have to fix it.

Review of chapter "Long Distance" from MarcusRowland
Review:
To be followed closely, of course, by someone's cell ringing in the middle of a fire-fight...
Nice to see more in the series, looking forward to the next.

That's what the vibrate setting is for.

That would be very convienent for the military, especially way out in Stargate-land. They always seem to have a communications problem in the show when someone gets in trouble.
Keep writing! (^_^)/ BEM
