Originally I started not to read this, I mean Illyria! But it brought to bare what Giles did. I always wondered if any of the others knew, or if it was just, in his own way, keeping Buffy from Angel and Spike. I really like the fact that in some ways, she is Fred. Good work.

So Illyria has decided to go gentle into that good night; I never thought I would see it. Even God-Kings have a breaking point, it would appear. I don't think Faith is going to be overly happy about this, though.
You have Illyria's voice down pat, and her compassion and pain does not seem out of place at all. You can see her just barely holding herself together with the purpose of exacting vengeance on Giles. Short, sweet, and utterly to the point, just like Illyria. Thanks for sharing!

Review:
This is a good continuation. I think the others--Buffy, Faith, Willow, and Xander, in particular--will offer comfort, and mention that time and opening up to others will heal the wounds that telling the truth did not.
The big issue, and Illyria would ask it, is simply: "Won't they die?"
There's only one answer to that. We all die, save Gods, and even they can get killed.
I leave it to you whether she tires to share, to die, or to return to the Deeper Well as she curses that Knox was ever born.

Review of chapter "Distant Voices" from MaxGSandeman
Review:
Some of Fred's memories have been integrated unusually quickly into Illyria's behaviour. A few words allow an enemy to be defeated by others; it doesn't satisfy her because of its foreign nature. It looks like there are some unresolved issues between Giles and the others. Now we see the dirty linen.
Comments from author:
In my original draft I had a section describing how Illyria's plan was inspired by one of the Gilbert & Sullivan songs that Gunn was singing as a side-effect of his implantation with legal knowledge - 'The Punishment Fit The Crime' from 'The Mikado' - but in the process of trimming the sections down to drabbles and drabble variants I decided it was too wordy and didn't fit the mood. It had to go.

With only a few words, Ilyria has utterly destroyed Giles. And that's the best type of Revenge. Cool chapter, see ya!.

I think Illyria may end up with all the vengeance she could possibly want.

Review:
Amazing job. It's dark, but very realistic and true to character than most depictions of Illyria.

Oh... that was terrifying... Poor Giles... I hope she doesn't kill him... but he deserves a good terrifying and a savage dressing down... without removal of limbs... but that's my approach... We'll see what you decide.... Soon, I hope.
