Cool story, I like it. Seeing the effect of the passage of time and separation from humanity on Buffy is very interesting. And Anita seeing a little of herself in that too is illuminating. I wonder if Jean Claude can somehow convince Buffy to play along with his power games or they are destined to be opposed?

Nice timing on the update; I just reread the the first chapter last night.
Anyway, I liked the Slayer smack-down and subsequent panic on Jean-Claude's part. I'll be honest, I'm kinda hoping Buffy stays mostly Slayer and puts some much-needed checks on the vamps.

I hope you finish this, it's very creepy(in a fun way) I usually don't like horror movies but this one SO made me think of Buffy when I saw it cause that girl was tough as nails, so this is a cool fic for me =)
