"So, it turns out I'm not quite finished with this universe...." I certainly hope not! This is such an interesting and well developing 'verse that I'm not sure I'll ever want it to end. :)

I find the use of Thomas delightful and of course Buffy would suss him out to determine his intentions/manipulations towards someone she cares about. Silly Harry. It's nice to see a real relationship forming between them and while the stories are short and so few (not a complaint!) it doesn't feel rushed. Nicely done and I hope for more!

Review of chapter "A Spirit of All Compact of Fire" from (Current Donor)Ironbear
Review:
Wow. Excellent.

I've long wanted to work a Dresden Files cross into the Roadverse stories, but i keep running head on into the issue that you did here: by any standards, Willow Rosenberg broke damned near all of the major Laws of Magic, and the Wardens would have no option but to execute her for it, even years after the fact. (And, given Willow's behavior in season 7 after she supposedly was "redeemed", I have serious doubts that she'd be able to not go back to dark magic eventaully. Plus, the Awakening spell was a violation of one of the Laws as well, IIRC... )

You did a great job on this. I'm almost tempted to say that Harry's just a little too *tame* for Buffy - I'd have seen her graviating to Thomas like towards a black hole's event horizon, myself. ;)

I have no idea what or how Buffy Saw.

But I am certain she did. Slayers have a soulsense all their own, they have visions, and I cannot for a moment imagine it didn't synchronise with Harry's soulsight.

And, yeah, the cheeseman probably got included.

An intriguing look intothe BTVS past through Harry's eyes. I wonder what he would see if he looked a bit deeper at Dawn?

Review:
I have to say that unless Dresdenverse rules mean that Buffy and Willow and Xander weren't as close as they were in the Buffyverse then the Buffy/Harry relationship is completely impossible. One of Buffy's best friends, a person who she should never stop missing is completely off limits and this relationship would alienate her from Xander. Seriously, let's see him let the facade comment slip out one time. See her reaction then.

edit: for me personally, someone choosing to become a member of a group I hate would make me angrier than a longer term member of the group. And any sort of justification of what they did would be to hurtful IMO, so ever bringing up the subject with the idea it might be acceptable would be an ender.

Basically Willow's death for Buffy and Xander should result it something similar to Willow's own rampage, or Giles when Jenny was killed by Angelus, Buffy on Faith when Angel was poisoned, Buffy's threats on what she'd do if Dawn was hurt when Glory grabbed her.
Comments from author:
I really, really don't understand your review. While Harry's being a White Council wizard means complications, I don't see how it's any more complicated than canon Buffy canonically dating-- well, any of her other boyfriends. Vampires, soldier boy from the Initiative, etcetera. The only way it becomes Unforgivable is if you tie him somehow to Willow's death, which is ridiculous. He wasn't even a Warden when it happened. So why should Xander hate him? Besides which he's canonically very conflicted on the warlock issue; came very close to becoming one himself, was furious when they killed the Korean kid on his turf, and defends Molly to all comers even when she's being really, really reckless and endangering *both* their lives with continued murky magic choices. He's not going to say something hurtful when he's sympathetic, duh, no matter what he *knows* from personal experience about how black magic works. I tried to make that clear.

Review:
I STILL hate it that they killed Willow. And from this chapter it sounds like they all was needed was for those asshole Wardens to have been 15 minutes later in arriving.
Comments from author:
As I've been trying to make clear, in this fusion the events of B:tVS played out as if they'd happened under Dresdenverse rules, and under Dresdenverse rules, warlocks that far over the line do not step down. I am sorry you don't like that. I don't like it either. But there's no way around it if I want to adhere to the rules; so all those fifteen minutes would have brought would have been more tragedy. You're free to find other stories that ignore the rules, you know; there are plenty, and many are enjoyable. I just can't write that way, personally.

Insert series of relatively hyperbolic effusive praises here, and it still isn't praise enough. =) Great job. You give good Dresden!

This was very nice. I hope that if you ever get this universe up to "Changes" that Harry would have enough sense to call up Buffy.

I've never watched an episode of the Dresden Files but I trust that whatever you write I'll enjoy.

Love this, love how strong and confidant you write Buffy ...

Please keep writing and thank you so much for all of your work!
