Excellent first chapter. It's a good setup and fits the situation.

Perhaps the slayer spirit cannot survive being split in to so many slayers, or the presence of so many slayers allows the first to bring an army of Terrikhans to earth (Or Upgrade all the current vamps to Terrikhan level of power), Or this Eris is a projection of the first to stop Willow from creating an army of slayers (Something that the first doesn't want.). All in all an interesting premise, I am looking forward to see where you take it.

Good beginning

It sounds as if the plan to empower all of the Potentials is doomed to failure. Any powers that they might receive would be too diminished to be of any benefit.

Interesting,How will they beat the first then?

It's been a very long time since I read comics on a regular basis. I don't recognize this character(Eris). Has she been around for awhile or just in the past few years?

About the story, I like the plot. I've always thought that Willow was manipulated into raising Buffy somehow. The dialogue seems a bit to formal though. I also think Willow would be a bit more suspicious than she seems here.

Overall pretty good though. I look forward to see where this story goes.

Actually, I haven't introduced any Marvel characters yet. You'll start seeing where they come in next chapter. Eris is the Goddess of Strife and Discord according to Greek Mythology.

I always thought it was strange that "Research Girl" wouldn't check her sources of info, arrogance maybe but that wouldn't explain why Tara didn't check either.
