Great Cliffhanger. I'm guessing that Cordy is Buffy's half sister from the wording of the letter. Cordy's mom says "his family" lives in Sunnydale, not "he" lives in Sunnydale...

My guess is Joyce will all but adopt her when she finds out. Yay!!!

and I wonder who the real father is. it can't be anyone from Stargate, since they would want to raise her (except perhaps Kinsey), but it could be pretty much anyone from BTVS ( I'm not sure Whig option would be the funniest, Cordy being half-sister to Buffy ( if that is the case, is Cordy the Key? might explain why she got some Slayer abilities...& would also explain how Cordy changed once Buffy turned up...), Willow ( however, you would need an explanation for why Cordy isn't redhead or blonde... could always be dyed, buy I doubt they allow you to use hair dye in the Army, at least during bootcamp.) or Xander (after all, Xander's family...)

Still very good. I like the way you continue to integrate Cordy into her new life, even with the twists and turns. And, the occasional reminders from her "past" are a nice touch.

As in Stargate: SG-1, you tend to bring out the humanity in the main soldier characters.

I'm trying not overdo the back-story and so forth, but I like to flesh out the characters as far as I can. Cordy's new life is the central theme, but her old one will continue to intrude. Thanks for the review.

Perhaps, but there are a lot of people could give her that reaction. For example, Snyder, Mayor Wilkins, Flutie, Ira Rosenberg...

And still more Cordy awesomeness. I've always loved Buffy/Cordy interaction and you're doing a great job with it.
