Review of chapter "Have Faith Now" from cbq
I really really liked this story and I want to thank you for writing it. My only problem with reading was your advancing of their ages (and I can see why you've done it) because Peter would have left school at 15 and been drafted at 17. A silly quibble, I know but it kind of got into my head and wouldn't leave me alone. Sorry.

Review of chapter "Have Faith Now" from Charlotte
After reading This is War of your Wishlist series, I had to come read this.
I loved every minute of it. I sat on my behind and read this as straight through as i could (taking RL breaks as necessary). Even though I haven't watched the movie yet, my imagination played it in my mind as I read this.
A most excellent read my dear.

This story was beautifully written and your characterization was incredibly believable. It was the perfect mix of angst, pain, hope, and love. Poignant and perfect. My favorite bit was Buffy's speech to Aslan which kicked ass and the relationships between the six main characters. Thank you so, so, so much for writing this.

I never read this story before, passing it over so many times. Narnia. Buffy. Odd pairing. I hadn't read the books since I was a child, so I couldn't see the pairing. Now I have read it in its entirety. What to say? It's wonderful. Beautiful and lyrical, sad and winsome, with a kind of heart touching emotion that only the best stories have. This may be your best work. I only use the word may because of just how many good stories you have. Wow, just wow. I have tears in my eyes as I write this review. In many ways, the flow of the story and how it ends reminds me of Guy Gavriel Kay's stories, Tigana, The Fionavar Tapestry, A Song for Arbonne. It was truly a joy to read this and I just wanted to thank you for writing it. I'll never doubt another of your pairings again.

Review of chapter "Have Faith Now" from Joyful
Is there any chance of a sequel for this one? I'd love to find out what happened in 3 years time, when the Voyage of the Dawn Treader would commence. Would Susan and Caspian be married? Would Buffy and Peter? Would Eustace show up?
I'd really love to see a sequel.

You said in a reply to a previous review that you wanted to downplay the religious analogy of Aslan=Jesus and have him be fallable. Jesus was a man, a human being, and even a man who is the son of God and without sin makes mistakes. To make a mistake is not a sin, fortunately. I believe that when Jesus was on the earth as a man, he was not omniscient. Therefore he may have made the wrong choices a few times.
That said, I really liked this story, but I wonder what it means for what would have happened. Yes, Susan will not forget herself, but what about Eustace and Jill, who also were benefited from being in Narnia? If they don't go back, why would Caspian end up with Ramandu's daughter? I suppose she could end up with Edmund, but still, without them going back, Jill and Eustace won't come forth decades from then into narnia to rescue Prince Rillian, and they won't come back generations later to help Trillian and enter the "real Narnia" through the stable door. But the Pevensies will be happy, Caspian and Susan can try a relationship together, and Peter and Buffy can have each other.

Review of chapter "Have Faith Now" from JediMormon
Loved the story! Characterizations were some of the better ones I've seen. Buffy's struggle with faith and initial hatred of Aslan I thought to be especially poignant.
My only thing is when Buffy was thinking and saying to Aslan that he'd never been human and essentially couldn't know their sufferings. Would have been powerful, since Aslan is for all intensive purposes Christ, for him to point out that he actually had. But I can see where that might have taken away from the story and put it into a different direction.
Also, liked what you did with Glozelle, I haven't seen too many stories where he is redeemed.

Thank you for reading, reviewing and most of all, liking.
As for Aslan not playing up the human angle, for one, as you said, it wasn't convenient. If he really is almighty and omniscient, there's no point in arguing with him in the first place.
I also didn't want to play the Christian analogy up as much as it was in the books. I'm not a big fan of religion of any kind, and so I wanted Aslan to be fallible. He did, after all, provide the main point of conflict for Buffy and I always did think that if Christ is truly the son of God, then he's not human. He has a human body and human experiences, but they are processed and perceived through the eyes and mind of something more than human. Just because it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, doesn't mean it thinks and feels like a duck.

Review of chapter "Have Faith Now" from Laurea
This story really captures the feel of the Narnia books, which isn't something I ever thought I'd say about a fanfic. I really like how you had the tug of war between the Narnia faith in Aslan/God and the Buffy doubt and cynicism. You also handled the whole aspect of adults in children's bodies very well, and you really showed what Narnia meant to the Pevensie children. And of course I like the rewrite of the ending. It seems like a good resolution, especially after mixing in the Buffyverse elements. The only thing I had a bit of a problem with was that Buffy seemed out of character -- but after all the changes you put her through, I suppose that's understandable.
This is a really great story! I never expected to find a Narnia/Buffy crossover, but you handled it really well. I love it!

just finished reading this, took about 2 and a bit days and I really enjoyed it. You caught the Pevensies and Caspian's voices nicely as well as their insecurity and Buffy's entirely in-character personality change. Great fun.

Pretty damn good, personally I've never met a "God" in any story that I've liked (well apart from Discworld gods ;P) but your version of the Lion-Jesus was pretty damn good.

Review of chapter "Have Faith Now" from RosytheCat
Oh. My. ASLAN. That was AWESOME!
I'd kinda been avoiding reading this fic because my inner C.S. Lewis fan found the Prince Caspian movie to be a complete failure as an accurate portrayal of the book and its story, what with all the plot order mix-ups and lazy casting and what-not. But, I suppose the inclusion of Buffy and her tendency to throw pre-plotted prophesies out of whack, makes it WORK. Kudos and snickerdoodles for you!
May Jesus-lion bless you and all your writing endeavors.

This story was so gorgeous. I am literally crying right now (but only a little bit) because it is so amazing. You really built up Buffy's anger and resentful hope (because even though she believed she would never get anything good, she still couldn't help but *want*) that I actually felt relief when I read the ending.
