Nice bit of the old 'shoe is on the other foot' shuffle, there!
Comments from author:
Buffy is joined with Sineya, but she's still there. She's just grown up, which is rather scary in itself.

Well, she certainly knows how to cause waves. Glad it happened before they were on the battlefield and it cost people their lives.

*smile* Shaking them up sometimes let the nicest things fall. Of course when you think you're right, hearing something that starts the doubting is disconcerting.

Brilliantus !! That's what I thought when I read this last weekend - then realized I'd invented a new word... Well mostly.

FanFiction is there to try to write familiar characters in new ways, and I have to say you are doing a great job with this story.

Don't actually remember reading your explanation about the 9-chevrons before, but looks like you are going in exciting directions...

A really good read so far... Looking forward to more. (Yes it's also a blatant attempt to get you to keep this story in mind when you're thinking of updating your WIP's).

All the best,

Emily.

Fascinating idea about the possibility of more than seven symbols being used and what other information they might convey to people who know more about them or care more about them than the Goa'uld.

Thank you, just had this idea and ran with it. Glad you liked it

Too many words, too much padding. Too many details about small events. I like a lot of your story but its fat.
You should try thinking simpler and more straightline. All these excess charactors are boring, not enlightening.

Now as regards Buffy being arrogant; its because this is not Buffy, this is Buffy and Sineya. Tremendous amount of knowledge there. Add that to the MANY years of experience that Buffy has gained since she came to Dara Sene. So frankly she is the professor and they are the freshman students. And the points you bring up about SG-1 just appearing and upsetting applecarts then leaving to let the people try and pick up the pieces is dead on.
Comments from author:
Not sure which excess characters you're referring to, but okay.

Review:
So pleased you are continuing this one. I was so excited to see this update. One thing seems a little hypocritical about how Buffy/Sinaya has been judging them. Isn't she kind of doing the same thing the accused them of doing? I totally get why she would be upset about the gate and DHD thing. But she seems to be judging them very quickly. She seems to be coming across as a little snobby to me. She has total points about everything she was judging SG-1 by, yet it is starting to feel a little like SG-1 bashing. There are some things that you had her or her people indicate that SG-1 was wrong for being who they are. For instance I feel like it is a good thing that Daniel asks questions and that Cam smiles a lot though I admit Daniel needs to keep his excitability under control to listen to his answers. That is just a part of who they are. I think people would be kind of boring if everyone were like Jaffa.

I didn't mean for that to com off as really critical especially since I love most of your stories, this was intended to be just a little (hopefully) constructive criticism. I really am looking forward to seeing where you take this one. It is so unique and has great potential. I really hope to see more soon. I love your stories.
Comments from author:
I understand what your saying. The main point of what Buffy was doing, and perhaps I didn't do it right, if it came across as bashing was that everything isn't what it seems.

Yes, I know that SG-1 have helped lots of people. (please understand I'm a huge fan). I set up the story for their first viewing of Buffy/Sineya to replay the scene with Ra and the children surrounding him. What they should have seen, had they taken the time to observe and listen was the differences between the scenes. That was all I was trying to do. SG-1 worked diligently to wipe out the Goa'uld. It was what happened afterward to the people whose war torn worlds were left in disarray that were left high and dry that Buffy/Sineya didn't like so much. It was effectively what happened to Dara Seans. (Although Qetesh (Vala) abandoned the planet, it had the same effect).

I'm always open to input, especially when it's as nicely written as yours.

I like the idea of the Stargate and DHD being intertwined and sentient, with the other chevrons reading intent. Don't think I've ever seen the Stargate be a lifeform before; Atlantis, yeah, but not the Stargate.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked, just a different look at the pairing. Buffy's going to shake up SG-1's world, but she'll shake up her own as well. Her life's been pretty isolated on Dara Seans. She'll learn everything isn't as she thinks it is. But, then again it never is, is it.
