great start please continue when you can. A Space Marine librarian is cool but I was hoping for Imperial Guard or maybe a Tech-Marine with Xander's construction job in the series. But whatever you choose great job so far. Thank You

I would note that the writing on the seals should be a form of Latin, from what I remember.
But other than that...this seems interesting, though potentially...short. Do, continue please.

Overall nice story, I'm curious where you will take it.
From the description I guess he is a Space Marine, most likely a Librarian of the Dark Angels chapter because of the, for Librarians, typical blue armor and the green robe in the chapter color of the DA. And their loyalty fits pretty well for Xander.
Although a part of me was hoping that he would be Ciaphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!!(!) ;P

Ahh, well you will just have to wait and see! I am still working on the broader plot, these first few chapters are more to get the characters and their relationships established.
