You should continue this story.

Bloody brilliant!

The second chapter smoothed away any small problems I had with first. This one is fun.

Review:
I loved smart Faith, sneaky Dawn, and commando Buffy. Your story made me laugh a lot and I really hope the plot bunnies bug you until you write more. It isn't like there are a lot of funny, same sex, romantic crossovers out there. And I enjoy your slightly warped characterizations of everybody. I want more! Please? *Insert sad puppy dog eyes here*

Review:
I can not wait to read the installment of this series. I would enjoy reading Jack's reaction to Sam's marriage. I would also like to read the SGC's side of the story.
Comments from author:
Thanks.

The next episode (it feels episodic anyway) does take place in Colorado (Or at least what I've written so far does).

Unfortunately, at the moment I'm stuck on a scene with Cassie and I'm not sure how long it'll take to work it out (she sounds too young in the bit I've written so far for how old I need her to be in the story.). Probably by the end of the month. Maybe.

Review of chapter "The Wearing of the Tweed" from JoeB
Review:
I liked this one. Too often when you get this quicky wedding between female characters were one or more of them is actually in the military the author completely ignores the inconvientant fact of 'Don't ask, Don't Tell' kudoos for how you are trying to deal with it.

Of course Sam/Jack shippers are going to lynch you.
Comments from author:
(Thanks for the comments :-).)

I'm more worried about the Sam/Janet shippers. A 'Heroes' fixit (even one as vague as this) is "supposed to be" only for that OTP. Or so I've heard :-).

Review of chapter "There's a Portal for That" from Kremer
Review:
Wow, plot bunny time - Buffy's now a stepmother! (Hah!)
(I think Cassie'll be thrilled, though. And quickly get thick as thieves with Dawn, portal girl or not.)
Comments from author:
Oh things are going to get much more complicated than that :-). And I don't (just) mean in an 'evil stepmother' kind of way.

Review of chapter "There's a Portal for That" from Specks
Review:
That was hilarious! I particularly enjoyed Dawn's back story with having multiple marriages. Now she's dragged Buffy into it! The affection between the sisters comes across loud and clear, although I've never pictured Janet as slashy. Loved the banter though. Well done!
Comments from author:
Thanks.

In the fanfic world EVERYONE gets slashed :-).

For some reason, Janet usually gets "stuck" with Sam (there are millions of words of Sam/Janet femslash out there). Rarely with someone else. I thought she deserved a chance at someone different (okay, still with a blonde who's a bit self-sacrificing but other than that Buffy and Sam don't have much in common.)

Review:
Bravo! Great story, and a really well-done twist on the usual "waking up in Vegas" fare.

Maybe you should sub-title it "Waking Up in Boston"? ;)
Comments from author:
Well, that would just confuse people since this takes place in Vegas (Boston was just a side trip by "Dawn Portal Express" when Portal Girl tried to impress the Science Lady.)

Review of chapter "There's a Portal for That" from (Recent Donor)TannimU
Review:
This was a truly fun romp. Janet and Buffy's reactions were awesome. Dawn's backstory was hilarious and seemed so true to the character. I really liked the Janet/Sam and Buffy/Willow hints in there. Quite interesting!
Comments from author:
Well... as much has I'm all for a good Sam/Janet fic, there are a lot of things that would get in the way of that happening (and not just that 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' idiocy.) but there is no reason to ignore that it MIGHT have happened.

As far as Buffy/Willow goes. In this AU it didn't (It's one of those AU's where this Buffy is too squicked at the idea of a relationship with some who's as close as her own sister. But that doesn't stop the UST.)

More of Dawn's backstory will crop up in future stories (if they happen.) She's not really randomly getting drunk and married every time she goes to Vegas. There is a reason. :-)

Review of chapter "There's a Portal for That" from harcroft
Review:
this is great, but i can see one gaping plot hole. Don't Ask, Don't Tell. ( though it would be kind of funny if it turned out that DADT was repealed while thye were busy getting hitched. Considering that apparently Gay marriage is legal across the States in this, it isn't exactly a stretch... ( Personally, I'm wondering what the reaction of Jacob Carter will be. Not to mention the rest of SG1, Gen Hammond, Paul Davis & Cassie Frasier. (Paul Davis would need to know so Buffy & Dawn can get clearance for the SGC ( at least to know what it is, probably to actually be part of it) and also to get Sam Carter clearance for the Initiative.)
Comments from author:
Well, this is really too sort ( and plotless) to deal with a serious issue like DADT. A future episode might deal with it.

As far as gay mariage being legal everywhere in the US in this story... It isn't. That's one reason for the surprise. Dawn used a portal to take them to one place it IS legal. And she somehow forgot it.

Thanks for the comments.

From the title, I was expecting something along the lines of the superheroes round in "Who's line is it anyway?" Much funnier than Ryan Styles though.

I was going for a 50's Saturday matinee vibe. Sort of.
