you can't spank 20 year old adult. it's immoral. She act's how a slayer is used to act. You can explain to her what she have done wrong and discipline if you want to but no spanking. I won't do that to my own child.
I love the way the crew is thinking, revenge by paperwork. I like your writing by the way..

I'm getting very confused. When in Buffy's original timeline is this story set, or from what point does it go AU (well, more AU than a crossover by its very nature must necessarily be)?
You've mentioned in this chapter that it's AFTER Buffy was brought back from Heaven by Willow in season 6, but Joyce is alive (instead of dying in season 5) and apparently Sunnydale High is still in existence (instead of being blown up at the end of season 3) and Giles is working there (which means it can't be the new high school built by the start of season 7). Furthermore, somehow Angel is still around (instead of having moved to L.A. at the end of season 3) and Spike is apparently cooperating wholeheartedly with the good guys (which didn't happen until the end of season 5 at the earliest in canon) and Giles seems to trust Spike somewhat, at least enough to get a message to Angel (which didn't happen anywhere within canon that I can recall). Oh, and Faith is out of town (not in a coma through half of season 4 and then in prison after Angel convinced her to turn herself in, where she remained until she broke out to help restore Angel's soul and fight the final battle of Sunnydale against the First Evil in season 7) and is on good terms with Giles and all the others, suggesting that the name 'Dark Slayer' might refer only to her hair color in this alternate universe, rather than to any history of trying to kill the Scoobies, etc..
You can understand why I'm having trouble figuring out elementary things like how old Buffy is during this story, and what she knows or doesn't know as yet, right?
[update: I got the impression that Buffy went to the Junior High/Middle School where Dawn was a student at 14 when she told Dawn that Joyce had died, and if Sunnydale followed the pattern of some school systems, the Senior High might've included only grades 10-12, meaning that Dawn wouldn't have gone there until she was 16, perhaps. Presumably, the Senior High students were being educated at some other location between the destruction of the old school on the Hellmouth and the rebuilt Sunnydale High on the same location at the start of season 7, leading to Buffy being extremely worried about Dawn's first day at school there.
All those changes from canon that you've mentioned should probably be acknowledged at the beginning of your story, so that readers can know from the start how differently you've imagined the events of seasons 3-6 and not be blind-sided by it when they come up against apparent contradictions.]

I didn't mean to make it so confusing. I didn't even realize it was like this. Thanks for pointing it out! It is after Willow brings Buffy back, but I kept Joyce alive instead of her dying. There was a Sunnydale High in between then, it shows Dawn in it when Buffy goes to tell her Joyce died. Giles works there because he got bored and the Magic Box was destroyed from the Road Warrior Demons in The Bargaining. Angel comes back for the funeral and to comfort Buffy and stuff. Spike is a good guy by now in season 6. Giles, Angel, and Spike getting along is just my doing. She didn't have charges against her or anything in this universe. It was all technicalities with the courts, and all was forgiven by the Scoobies. Buffy is 20, almost 21 right now. She got transported shortly after 'Wrecked', so she knows everything up until then.

I have to agree, I don't think that spanking is a corporal punishment allowed in the service. Not only is it assault, but, he had her strip to her underwear, definitely not allowed by a senior officer to a subordinate. Humiliation is never a good way to discipline. Throw her in the brig or ground her. This was way out of character for both of them.

nice chapter, however one flaw. i really doubt that jack could hurt her really, she is used to getting absolutely pummeled by people with far from human strength, i think its totally out of character for her to start having a tantrum and crying after something so minor. buffy as a character is so much stronger than that (physically and will power) plus she has to much pride than to act like that.
p.s. the only character i can imagine would be effected in that way would be dawn in her early bratty stage
