Poor Daniel! But maybe Buffy WILL have Jack O'Neill's luck and sheer grit to help her survive the Master, even if this time Xander and Angel don't follow her down in order to be able to provide CPR if needed.

Review:
Wow, Buffy handled this much better here. I guess already having faced death in the other timeline and having a military background gave her the ability to stay calm and make some plans instead of lashing out. If the SG1 team have the Asgard beaming tech by now Daniel could conceivably make it to Sunnydale in time to help her but either way we know she comes out on top. I wonder if Daniel will share her message with Jack. He would not be happy.

You'll have to wait and see in the next chapter!

YAY a new chapter. Please don't let Buffy forgive everybody right away, especially not Sam. I love it please don't make us wait as long for the next chapter.
Comments from author:
I can't guarantee that there won't be another long wait, but I do have a few ideas for the next chapters. Thank you for sticking with me.

Hm, Jesse still alive. That's a variant very few 'fics go with. Congrats! It's also weird to think that in the 'original' timeline, someone else was the slayer at this point, dealing with the Master and so on... if you do "The Wish", it could get weird... maybe Anya(nka) would remember the AU, and wonder about the no-Buffy-ness of it.

Review:
My attention is piqued, I'll be following this one.

so far the chapters are a little to short, to rushed, perhaps because it's all setting for the show to begin but I'd like to know a little more about young buffy, how she's like normal buffy how she's diverged from her
Comments from author:
The differences between Buffy as we know her and this Buffy as the story continues. It won't be obvious, but it will be there. Thank you for reviewing.

Review:
At the moment, I only have two points I want to ask about. Being that Buffy is dealing with the SGC, who has experience with 'odd' problems, would Buffy telling them about vampires be just another mission. They have seen enough of the universe that with a little night walk, that they would be able to provide support for Buffy, the kind of support that the Watcher's don't seem to provide. Stuff like a budget, modern training that can be adapted to the necessary weapons, necessary weapons.
The other point that should be looked at is Buffy's 'powers'. Had she shown at the SGC she would be able to get their help in acclimatizing to them. Even if Joyce is blind to the additions, doesn't mean that the SGC is. Later on, she would be a good asset in training troops in fighting opponents who will have physical advantages over them.
Other than those points, In have to say good so far. I am looking forward to the Initiative showing up. Maybe, have Buffy start as a contact for them... Dr. Walsh's experiments could even go on like canon without there being a problem. Buffy would probably even more blind to some of their activities since she would be comfortable with them. No awkward battlefield first meeting.
Comments from author:
I'm not sure how well the people at SGC would take a domestic threat like the supernatural. SGC have a lot to deal with off planet so even if they understood a threat from the supernatural, I don't think they'd be able to handle it that well, if at all, because they're already fighting a war. It would be given to a new agency devoted to that purpose.

Buffy hasn't been to the Colorado base since she left it, and she hasn't had constant contact with people who work there. SGC keeps tabs on her enough to know that she's not being approached to be kidnapped by their enemies, and otherwise leaves her and Joyce alone. They don't know too much about the details surrounding Buffy, but they will, eventually.

Thanks for reviewing.

Review of chapter "Avoidance" from Gideon
Review:
Well handled by Daniel there. He is too busy to be the resource she needs and he doesn't have the backgorund a watcher will, and he is far away. She needs someone closer to rely on, and Giles is the man for that. It is nice that she has someone else to talk to though, and a secondary rresource if they ever get stuck.
Comments from author:
Daniel is going to be there when she needs him, but he has a job to do. Buffy just wants him because he's familiar and she trusts him. Backup is more Daniel's style anyway. He's willing to help, but he can't be Buffy's primary source of information. All she needs to do is give Giles a chance.

Review:
I didn't think Jack would be content to have his only daughter so far from him for so long, so it'll be interesting to see if the worlds of Sunnydale and the SGC intersect through more than an occasional research-related phone call with Daniel sometime in the not-too-distant future.
Comments from author:
Jack is upset about the circumstances, and is trying very hard not to break. I have a few things planned to bring the worlds together.

Review of chapter "Avoidance" from LFW
Review:
I like this fic but I reread it all, and I am curious if Buffy can have children? She came back from the future that the aliens had rendered humans sterile right? I do not see much SG1.
Thanks
Hoping for more
Comments from author:
The aliens had made a large majority of Earth's population sterile, though not all, with a longevity drug (if I remember correctly. It's been a while since I've seen the episode). As to Buffy's fertility, I think she would be able to have children. She was nine when she came through the Stargate, and Jack didn't trust the aliens, so he wouldn't let them near her. I hope this helps.

Thanks for reviewing.

Review:
Very nice--and Buffy would call Daniel about prophecies/translations etc. I'd imagine she'd call him about the Initiative ie "hey is the NID set up here?" & about Glory when even the Council came up empty.
Please tell me that Dawn isn't written in as "oh and Buffy came back from the future with a baby sister". Though come to think of it, that would be very cool. The monks will have a tough job, as Dawn has to be of the same blood or B. jumping won't close the portal.
Anyway, that's for much later.
Is it me, or would Jack not like Angel very much? heh.
Comments from author:
As of this moment, Dawn hasn't even come to mind. I don't know exactly how much of this story I'm going to write, so Dawn might not even make an appearance. If/when she does, I'll decide then.

And Jack would most definitely have problems with Angel.

Thanks for reviewing.

Review of chapter "The Hellmouth" from Malu
Review:
I know it's now still very early in the story-line, but what when Dawn is inserted into Sunnydale and everybodies memory? Will the monks know that Buffy isn't Joyce's daughter, or will Buffy loose all her memories of the alternate timeline, Jack, SG1 and the SGC? Or will the magic of the spell they use take all of this in account?
Comments from author:
I honestly don't know yet. I haven't thought that far ahead. I don't have an ending in mind yet, so anything's possible. I'm sorry I can't give you a better answer.
