Neat idea, I always wished somebody from that future had made it through the Gate... would have made things more interesting. Air force regs.... yikes, they don't really cover this. They haven't gotten together yet, so could claim this isn't an infraction... it'd probably require a ruling by the president or something.
Buffy would be a huge bone of contention-all the intel agencies would want to squeeze her for future knowledge.... who would have custody? etc etc.
This just demands a sequel.

It was the custody thing that was making it hard for me to continue. I wanted to keep Buffy with her parents, but didn't know how to write her transition. How would you feel if you went through something similar? Wouldn't you want to be with the person you were with before you left or with people that treated you well?

But the whole intel thing? How much does a 9 year old know about the state of affairs in any country? But there is the whole future thing isn't there?

As to a sequel or addition, if I can work something out, there will be another one.
