Review:
I really enjoyed this series so far, and hope that you plan on continuing it. Maybe with a way to trigger Kendra and Faith, four Slayers and and The-Boy-Who-Won would make a pretty awesome team.

Keep up the good work
Comments from author:
I've got part of the next chapter for this written, so my only problem now is getting it finished.

Real Life is being somewhat uncooperative at the moment, and my muse's focus is on some of my other work, but I'm hoping to get it done fairly soon.

Thanks for reviewing and letting me know you like it. ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Fyrecat
Review:
I just re-read the entire "series" and am definitely enjoying it. I love all the potential for an entirely new future that Buffy is already creating.

There are so many questions hanging, How will she get herself expelled from Hemery in order to move to Sunnydale now that she has effectively gotten away with her little foray into arson scott free? Will Giles even show up now that the council thinks she's dead? Will Faith get called? (She's my favorite) If so, how will Buffy treat her this time around? What about Cordy? Will Willow fall for Oz again, Tara? Can they prevent Joyce's death? Will Buffy wring a monthly paycheck out of the council? Will she hunt down Caleb before he can host The First? How will Willow's magical talents grow now that she will presumably have access to wands and books about magic? How will Buffy's magic develop and how will she use it? Will Jesse still become a vamp? Will X still have to "kill" him? That was a serious watershed moment for Xan's personality, If not, will Xander be galvanized into action like in the original timeline? Can Buffy bring herself to kill Glory's male alter ego in order to prevent all the bad Glory will do if she doesn't? Will Buffy prevent the Hyena incident from happening?

What advice will she provide for her friends about Halloween consumes? A pair of glasses purchased from Ethan Rayne's shop paired with an old Superman T-shirt would do wonders for Xan's Evil fighting ability! Or maybe a bodysuit, some silver paint and a surfboard? Even some yellow spandex and a cigar. Or how about a bald "wig" and a wheelchair? - which suggests a great costume for the redhead too! (Of course, Willow/ Phoenix is just a scary thought!) Then again, it would be amusing if X dressed up as "Just a guy on vacation."

And was that the WORST possible way for Buffy to introduce herself to the gang or what? "Hi, I'm a hot, but probably psycho stalker-chick, wanna be friends?"
Wouldn't it have been easier, and more organic, to just allow their introductions to happen in nearly the same way as in the original timeline again? You know, smile at the clumsy sk8r boi, and make friends with the smart girl so you can do homework together?

Now that Buffy has decided to make X her own, what will happen to all the other girls he was supposed to get involved with? Will he have to experiment with the effects of Pepper Up potion on muggles in order to keep up with 2 slayers? (Uber Hotness!) Hey, maybe he could dress up a Ranma 1/2 for Halloween and they could have a X/B/F/W/T multi-ship!

And for all those who don't like the X-man, Tough. Xander is "The bomb" as they say.

I am also interested to see what will happen in Wizarding England now that a decidedly dark Harry and Hermoine have nearly eliminated the entire magical pureblood population. There's a whole story arc there. Will they continue to monitor it so that a better culture rises from the ruins, or will it slide into semi-feudal barbarism? Will they set up a muggle-born scholarship foundation to send all of the UK's new young wizards and witches to the US or elsewhere for schooling?

And finally, and most importantly, It has been almost a year since you posted this chapter. Have you abandoned this story? I sure hope not because I have enjoyed it so far.
Comments from author:
First off, thanks for the wide-ranging and extensive review.

As far as your questions go, all I can say is that they will all be addressed, and I think you're going to be quite surprised by some of the developments that are coming. ;-)

As far as waiting 'til she starts matriculating at Sunnydale is concerned, Buffy is more concerned wit not wasting the time they have available to them to start making some significant changes as far as what she and her friends are going to do, and what they can make of themselves. Any time they wastes is time that their potential enemies have to possibly initiate new plans that she doesn't have any knowledge of - something she doesn't want to give even a chance of happening.

And I'm about half-way through writing the next chapter, so I'm hoping to posting that soon.

Review:
I really like this. The idea of mixing Buffy's old-life memories & Hermione's witchcraft into new-life Buffy is really neat. The effect that it had on her is incredible. Her serious dedication to her cause is a refreshing change from the Buffy who repeatedly shurked her duties in order to make cow-eyes at Angel all the while bitching about how unfair life is. That she immediately scared Angel off and turned to Willow & Xander as the best choice for loyal friendship makes total sense.

I hope that Buffy's ability with witchcraft allows her to bond with Willow...as well as provide the girl with stable continuous tutoring. Willow's biggest problem with magic was she was self-taught for the most part. Once Ms Calendar died...she was on her own. They could even pull Amy into it and make the start of a coven. I could see a Willow/Amy pairing here...or just go with the canon Willow/Oz pairing. Perhaps a threesome?

Maybe she can even keep Jesse alive this time around...especially if he knows about vamps and learns how to identify them/fight them before the whole Darla mess come September. A Jesse/Cordy pairing would be nice...not to mention fulfill his dreams.

Plus Xander/Buffy hotness is always a good thing.

Would really love to see more in this arc.

Thanks for letting me know you're enjoying the story - it's always nice to hear that. ;-)

As far as what's going to be happening with the Scoobies, all I can say is that Buffy is going to do her best to ensure that things go quite differently this time around, and that she and her family aren't screwed over the way they were in the other life she learned about. There are going to be MANY changes made and a lot of events are going to be significantly different from what they were. ;-)

Just stumbled across this series of yours. I am enjoying it and there is SO much potential for the 3rd part (especially when/if Harry and Hermione show up). I noticed it hasn't been updated for almost a year. I hope you are able to start adding to this soon!
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing. And when the two groups do finally get together, things are going to be VERY different. ;-)

Comments from author:
Glad to learn you're enjoying the series. ;-)

I've got the next chapter started, so now it's just a matte of Rea Life (tm) leaving me alone long enough to get it finished.

I certainly hope you're right. ;-)

It's just that Real Life (tm) hasn't been all that cooperative lately. ;-(

Oh this is such a wonderful series. I love how Hermione and Harry removed all of those that ruined their lives that was rather funny. I love what Buffy has done so far to change her life and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment to this wonderful story.
Comments from author:
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the story, and I hope I'll have the next chapter done sometime soon. It all depends on how Real Life works out.

Oh, my, yes!! This one is about to get *very* interesting and one bad is about to find out the hard way that "the times, they are a-changin' ". It should be rather interesting to see how Buffy manages this initial confrontation and then builds friendships from it.
Comments from author:
Glad you're enjoying the story. I hope to get another chapter out soon, as long as Real Life cooperates.

I gotta wear shades.

I couldn't resist finishing the episode title from season one of 21 Jumpstreet.

Ooh boy, now I feel all old even though I was only two when the series came out.
Comments from author:
YOU feel old? My younger son was only *five* when that series started! ;-)

Anyway, glad you're enjoying the story. It looks like my muse has finally returned, so I'm hoping I might get something done on the next chapter of this sometime soon. ;-)

Thanks for reviewing.

Sorry I haven't reviewed before, I usually try to review the stories I'm tracking at least once, but haven't managed it recently.
I am having a lot of fun with this series. Some of the goings-on in the Buffyverse (Potterverse, too for that matter) have made me wish that I could be teleported in with a baseball bat to try and beat some commen sense into various peoples heads. Know you are the avatar of a great many peoples desires on that score. ;-)
Comments from author:
Thanks for commenting. It's nice to know you enjoyed the story, and I'm hoping it will inspire my muse to come back and help me finish up some of my stories.

And I agree, both Joss and JKR often inspired me to meet up with some of their various characters and a baseball or a shovel to provide them with incentive for different behavior. ;-)
