Review of chapter "Snogging and Hellmouths" from Shulik
Aww, I love the George borrowing Sirius's bike to take Dawn out bit.

Molly giving the sex talk? Win!

I can't wait until Dawn meets Buffy and the crew!

Comments from author:
Buffy and Joyce didn't actually move to Sunnydale until the end of February, 1997. (Yes, I am that much of a nerd that I know that. Unless I'm wrong, lol.) So Dawn is actually gonna meet Willow, Xander and Jesse before Buffy does.

I can chill out and write not. I got up early and prepared a mammoth roast, and then put it in the slow cooker, so that we'll have pot roast for supper. But now that I'm actually awake, maybe I can get some stuff done. w00t.

I have to say I love it. I wasn't really expecting the Sunnydale transfer at all, but I think it opens up a whole new world of possibilities. I'm eager to read more.
Comments from author:
Keeping that one under wraps was seriously difficult. I am not a good secret-keeper. Only one person knew I was gonna send Dawn to Sunnydale, and I couldn't wait!

Glad you like it, more soonish, since the next chapter's already half written.

Review of chapter "Snogging and Hellmouths" from KatieKat
I'm loving this story want to read more please. I see that she is going to meet Buffy and the gang. more please *grins*
Comments from author:
I've been looking forward to this since the idea popped into my head, and I'm really glad it's being so well-received.

It's kind of a great big "What If?" story, and I love coming up with all the little changes Dawn's presence has on the story.

Yet another Brilliant addition! Keep up the good work! Can't wait for the meeting between her and Buffy! Good times! lol

*Edit* Yay! Can't wait!!
Comments from author:
I'm looking forward to writing it. I'm looking forward to Dawn asking Buffy to help her dress "more American," and then her showing/sending pictures of her "American" (in other words, Californian Valley Girl" style to George. that should be fun.

I'm writing the scene now where Dawn meets Willow for the first time, and it's fun.

Review of chapter "Snogging and Hellmouths" from FrauleinWeisenheimer
Love it!! This is a twist that I genuinely did NOT expect and I'm excited to see how you handle it! Should be fun. I must say, I am not a slash fan, but the way you set up Harry and Malfoy almost has me rooting for them. Or at least hoping they acknowledge their feelings so they can stop acting like idiots. Hope you update soon!
Comments from author:
Every time I read book six, and see how utterly obsessed Harry was with Draco, I wonder why none of his friends ever teased him about being "in love" with Malfoy. That's the kind of teasing I'd expect from 16-year-olds, lol.

I always read Draco as being gay, and I love the idea of a bisexual Harry with a thing for blondes. Maybe it's a bit OOC, but the idea just struck me ad I couldn't stop it.

Believe me, I can't wait to write Dawn Potter in Sunnydale. She's going to get to Sun nydale about a month and a half before Buffy, which means she'll have the chance to get to know Willow, Xander and Jesse before Buffy shows up.

I'm gonna be working my way through most of the season 1 episodes--I think--and I'm looking forward to Dawn facing down Mrs. Madison.

Since this story is Dawn-centric, and Dawn is now in California, I won't touch too much on what's happening with Harry and Draco. I may possibly write a side-story looking at their "relationship" but I'm kinda busy with life right now, so that might just live in my head.

I'm glad you like it, I hope to write more soon!

Review of chapter "Serpents and Hellgods" from MistofRainbows
Not that the scene wasn't a nice one, but Glory is a hellgodess, I can't really see her being burned by something as simple as love. Regardless that's your choice as an author. However I would like to point out that the spells that hit Glory topside wouldn't knock her out for minutes... (Dawn could have ran away. ) I believe the word you were looking for was moments or perhaps seconds. Minutes as in more than one would allow her to run a decent amount. I personally can't see her spells doing much more than slightly annoying her as a bolt of lightning barely stunned her in the show.

She can also run faster than Dawn, perhaps blowing up the street under Glory to slow her down might have been a better option.

Still it was an interesting chapter. It's a pity that Umbridge wasn't killed.
Comments from author:
Willow was able to hold Glory for a bit, able to slow her down and even hurt her. Magic was the only thing to hurt Glory, in the series.

I know that Glory can run faster than Dawn, but Dawn took the elevator, and Glory literally had to rip apart the side of the building to get in, so I figured Dawn might be able to get a bit of a head start while Glory's held up punching a hole in the wall.

I agree about the minutes/moments thing, moments is more vague.

Hellgoddess or not, she's still anchored to a human vessel, the way Voldemort was when he was living as a parasite on Quirrel. So even though she's currently in control of their body, Ben's body weakens her.

And the love protection is so powerful and ancient that nobody really understands how it works. I do understand your point, however. But I've made the choices I've made, een if you don't agree with them. I'm glad you at least got a little enjoyment out of it.

Review of chapter "Serpents and Hellgods" from velara
Enjoying this story. I like that the mother's love worked for Dawn against Glorificus, though it seems awfully simple for defeating a hellgoddess.

Dawn watched in horror as Voldemort himself appeared. Dumbledore followed soon after, and Dawn watched in horror the battle between the two.

Did you mean to repeat yourself like that? You may want to change the sentence.
Comments from author:
I usually try to avoid repetition like that, but I was tired. I might fix it.

Review of chapter "The Slayer and the Bitch" from Angelfirenze
This chapter leaves a happy smile on my face, if only because I'm thinking about Fred and George's departure and how awesome it was.

The fact that this seems to be Harry/Draco, as well, is just brilliant. I have to say that Harry is my village bicycle when it comes to shippery and while Ginny is the only person I refuse to ship him with, the other choices I love.

Review of chapter "The Slayer and the Bitch" from MistofRainbows
Ah, I had wrongly assumed that the time line had gotten twisted because Dawn was there and Glory was looking for her. Glad to have that part cleared up.
Comments from author:
You know, I had originally thought about doing that, having Glory show up in 2000ish, like she did in BtVS canon, but when it came down to it, I decided to go with "when Dawn is 14, just like in the show" 'cause I wanted the Glory part dealt with before I get the the HBP stuff.

Review of chapter "The Slayer and the Bitch" from MistofRainbows
Also I'm sort of confused on why the wrong slayer showed up.
Comments from author:
Buffy's not the slayer yet, it's only 1995. Buffy wasn't called until 1996, and she moved to Sunnydale early in 1997, around January or February, in the middle of the school term. The first season of Buffy was a mid-season replacement and had 12 episodes going from about January to May. So Buffy hasn't been called yet; this is the slayer that preceded her. Technically, according to one of the non-canonical book, there was a different girl before Buffy, but I didn't double-check with the slayer line of succession until after I'd already created Maria.

It's not the wrong slayer. The current slayer is Maria, and her watcher is Mr. Wells. Giles is there because he's friends with Dumbledore (which will be explained a bit later in the story), and is the liason of sorts between the wizarding community and the watcher's council.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Review of chapter "The Slayer and the Bitch" from MistofRainbows
good luck, but after the stuff with Harry/Draco I'm done. Please mark the warning labels and such. I could almost stomach a slightly reformed Draco... but yeah as I said good luck.
Comments from author:
I stated a few chapters back that there would be slash, in the author's notes. The warning labels for fics say "male/male sexual content" and "male/female sexual content" and "female/female sexual content." There hasn't been any sexual content, so the warning labels don't apply. Sorry.

And it's just a bit of conflicted sexual identity, as a lot of teenagers go through. Draco is not the character that Harry will end up with. He's just trying to figure out how he feels about people in general. This Harry is bisexual. I'm sorry that you don't like it.

I can't please everyone, and I write slash. All of my stories have at leas one or two gay or bisexual characters--just like life. Statistics state that at least 10% of the population is gay, or at least identifies with the LGBTQI community in some way. So if there's more than ten characters, odds are at least one of them is going to identify as queer.

As for Draco being reformed, Draco always struck me as being a sort of male Cordelia. And Cordelia became an awesome good guy in the end, even though as a teenager she was a bully and a spoiled brat.

As I said in the AN--YMMV. Not everyone shares the same tastes. I'm sorry to lose a reader, but I need to go where the muses take me.

Great story so far! Looking forward to more. And good job killing off Cho. I never liked her.
Comments from author:
Everyone says that! But I can't help but feel a soft spot for her.

I'm trying to work on the next part now.
