Heck, Faith has actually survived that threat before. Although, I don't think Buffy technically threatened to gut her. Oh, the next few hours/days should be interesting for all involved.
The gang's all here...or mostly. Nice to see Groo in the group, underused but interesting character. Should be fun to see what they make of Spike in 'medical'. Or Dawn for that matter... faint energy readings, maybe? Faith being at Sunnydale should help keep the vamps away, maybe the scoobies will give her a chance. Wow, Giles & Wesley are likely the last watchers remaining in the world, and the only real experts in the supernatural in existence at this point. Incredibly valuable, probably. Might be fun if Harmony is out there, now a 500 year old master vampire-ess....

You know, I never thought about having Harmony around, Something to think about anyway.
Thanks for the review.

Good start. Work hard to keep it going at that level. Like the thought you put into it...though don't understand at all WHY Finn's team would have an (apparently non-disclosed to them) cryogenic system remotely-activated by the President.
But, don't sweat technical issues tooooo much. After all the Buck Rogers (NO "d") TV show never did.
I can only hope you stick with season 1 and aren't considering bringing "Hawk" into it, or extending into the season with "The Searcher" exploration ship.
Comments from author:
I know of no Season 2 of Buck Rogers, nope, none, didn't happen, no Erin Gray running around in a sailor suit instead of spandex, no Twikie without Mel Blancs doing the voice. No converted passanger liner pretending to be a reaserch ship, nope didn't happen.
Rest assured, I have plans for Riley and company, and as far as the cryo suspension, I've played Morrow Project a couple of times and with the intro to Buck I just couldn't resist.

I'm wincing as I read the story since I expect that little robot to totter around a corner calling out biddlebiddlebiddle, Bhuck! Really though, I like the idea of the story and those skin tight suits our heroines will be wearing. Smiles. The first chapter really nailed that end of the world experience that we all dread. Whaddya think, the city floating on the water cushioned the impact enough to mitigate a fall from that high up? Looking forward to more.
Comments from author:
I have bad news, I actually liked Twikie, well at least as long as Mel Blanc was doing the voice. I'm almost dreading the reaction that Buffy and Cordelia are going to have for those suits. Faith? I don't think will have much probelms. Thanks for the complimant on the first chapter, it was actually the first time I had written an armagedon, glad you liked it. I wouldn't worry, Slayers are very impact resistant.
Kind of sorry you're not taking this from the original Philip Nolan novel, but I'm sure much more of your audience is going to be familiar with the 70s TV show (and dammit, Erin Gray WAS damn hot in that spandex!! [In fact, that really was the main reason to watch 70s SciFi - so much nice spandex!]).
We've got Riley's team in cryonic suspension, and a homing beacon - but why would they have been put on a 500 year delay before the beacon started triggering? If they weren't - the Earth Council should know a lot more about Sunnydale than it appears to.
Otherwise - Great Story!

I've never read the novel, my first experiance with Buck was the orginal serial with Buster Crabbe, I was furtunate enough to see a marathon showing of it, so I watched the whole thing in one sitting, hooked me on the character for life. I like the first season of the show, but the second season didn't do much for me.
Riley's people will be explained in the next chapter or so.
There's just something... about spandex and hot women.
Lets see what happens when someone pieces together the cause (or contributor) of the Holocaust. After all they prosecuted Buck and would have executed him in the series. Buck wont be quite so lonely now that there are other temporal displaced people.
BTW: I agree with Tweekie What a body. (Ardala)
So far your doing OK and I will be looking forward to future installments.

Have to agree with you about spandex and hot women.
Yeah, I do have something planned that way in the series, of course just think what Dawn is going to feel about it.
Yeah, Twiki had and eye on him.
Hope I don't disappoint.
