Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Zagadska
OMG!!! You're making a sequel!!!...err you're starting it!! I can't wait! Equinoxium was a wonderful story and the ending was fitting, but lacking in closure (in my opinion). Thank you for picking up your figurative pen and continuing your story. ^_^
Comments from author:
LOL - Yes, I'm starting/working on the sequel now, and I'm happy that I'll now have the opportunity to put a little more closure on a story that was so consuming for me. Thank you for the review! :)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from SailorPikaAngel
SOOOO excited that you are going back to this world!!! When I began reading it.. I laughed that you incorporated the 2 worlds together so well... lembas and KFC? hahaha... But then Buffy is on the outside looking in and then is unable to join... SO heart breaking... No happy endings? I was a bit worried about who the elf was but was very happy to find out it was Legolas! But she is slowly losing him! What or who will hold Buffy to this world when he leaves?! Can't wait to see the next chapter!
Comments from author:
*grins* Thanks so much for the review! Your excitement is a nice incentive, and I"m glad that you're enjoying the Buffy/Legolas pairing. Thanks again, and happy reading! :)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from becuzitswrong
Lisette, thank you for continuing Buffy's adventures in MIddle Earth. I have long enjoyed your stories, starting with Twist of Fate. But of all of your most excellent stories, to me, Equinoxium stands above the rest. It is a story of tragedy and sacrifice as good as the original LoTR novels. Every character is written true to themselves with nary a mary sue in sight. The story is wonderful and gripping and I have loved it for a long time. Well enough to save it in my favorite font, pdf'd and ready to be read again and again (I am up to 8 times now).

And now you are writing a sequel. I have absolutely no doubt that it will rival or even exceed the original, again having read your Twist of Fate Series. I truly enjoyed chapter 1 of The Fading. It set up a great beginning for the story. I can see tragedy unfolding as the relationship between Buffy and Legolas is strained by his need to leave for Valinor. I don't know if Buffy would be welcomed in the Undying Lands, but hopefully, just as certain Hobbits made the trip, so can Buffy so as not to be separated from her love.

Congratulations on getting married and returning to writing. The genre has missed you and I would like to welcome you back with open arms. I look forward to reading the next words that flow from your pen (or word processor) as Buffy's adventures continue.
Comments from author:
Your reviews are equally as captivating and well-written as your stories themselves (loving Life's Ending, Life's Beginning), and I thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and flattering review. I know how it feels to read a story that sticks with you to the point that you want it easily accessible, and it's humbling to learn that for some, Equinoxium became just that kind of story. I can only hope that E2 lives up to its predecessor.

THANK YOU - your review is so very much appreciated and just the little nudge I needed this morning to get back to work. :)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from ANNJ
Wow, when the information popped up in my email that there was a sequel for Equinoxium my eyes almost fell out of my head. Equinoxium is one of the rare stories I do have a look at once in a while to read through repeatedly. Though the last time I read is at least two years ago I look forward to see where you're leading us with this new development. Call me inspired.
Comments from author:
Thank you! I'm so glad that Equinoxium keeps you coming back, and I hope that someday, the sequel will also make that list for you. Thanks again! :)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Tweeky
It's good to see you've finally posted a sequel to your excellent fic "Equinoxium" but I have to say the opening chapter was a bit of downer with Buffy being around and so many of her friends dead from old-age. Now I don't know what you've planned for chapter 2 but if I might be so bold, have Buffy appealing to the Vala (Manwe specifically) to grant an exemption to Aragorn and allow him to pass into the west just like Tuor did with Idril in the first-age; also have his offspring and others closely related (either through kinship or marriage) given the full 400-years life-expectancy of the house of Elros.

Also did you use my suggestion of having the Vala allow the various Elves of the first age (like Finarfin, Fingon, Turgon and so on) to temporarily return to Middle-Earth to aid Buffy in hunting the Mornedhil? I Also suggest that you have Buffy (via Manwe) beg Iluvatar to have on a temporary basis (mortal-wise) returned to Middle-Earth the likes of the Edain to aid Aragorn such as Baramir (and Luthien), Borohir, Huor, Hurin, Tuor, Turin, Tar Palantir and so on.
Comments from author:
Your suggestions are interesting, however the story is already plotted - and I've done my best to adhere, or at least, not interfere with LoTR canon as much as possible, which includes any and all magical last-minute saves of Aragorn, Arwen, or changes to their fates. Nope - I'm afraid what's done is done in this case. Besides, this story isn't about Aragorn, Arwen, or their off-spring, but rather about Buffy and her continued adventures in this world - adventures that don't include first-age elves or a hunt for the Mornedhil, as they have all been destroyed. I hate to say it, but Middle-earth is severely lacking in the Big Bad department.

And did you read this story's predecessor? If so, I think you'll find that this first chapter wasn't nearly the downer as the majority of the previous story. ;p In any case, thank you for the review and happy reading!

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Sabryna

When I received the mail, telling me that you were back, I actually screamed. I was so happy. Finally, a new story and not any story: but the following one of Equinoxium. Sadly, it was past midnight for me (Damn French me ^^) and as I had to work today, I went to bed.

However, here I am, at work, and reading this chapter. Only one and I almost cried. It's the damn first!! All this angst, all this sadness... I love your work, I love how you write, how you describe everything in a so beautiful way. Everytime, I forget everything and I completely lose myself in your story and everytime, it moves me so much. That's why I love your fics so much and I swear the day you decide to write a book, I'll buy it without an hesitation.

I always had a hard time with LoR stories that occurred after the Return of King because of the deaths part. It's exactly the same hard time I had here. My heart broke for Buffy and Legolas as I read how they watched their friends, their worlds, died around them. They lost so much, and they will keep losing because it's the price to pay when you receive so much and time doesn't alter you. The way you describe it is heartbreaking.

I hope there will be fast updates because now, this story is going to be my new obsession. I just don't know how it couldn't be.

Thank you so much for being back (and thank you to that new husband of yours to help you coming back).

Take care and update soon pretty please ^_^
Comments from author:
*grins* What a great review! Thank you so much for the kind words, mon ami, and I'm so glad that you enjoyed the first chapter. Though you're right - post-Return of the King stories are very difficult because the death, even happy-die-in-your-sleep death is soon to follow and completely unavoidable. For everyone but Legolas, and now Buffy. The good news is that this story won't be a story all about death and sadness. I promise that there will be happiness, joy, and even fluff on occasion. At least - that's what I'm aiming for. You'll just have to let me know how I do on the follow-thru of that promise. :)

Thanks again!

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from asqwerth
You're back!

I have to say that I always have mixed feelings about your work. On one hand, they are always well-written, engrossing, epic, and just darned wonderful to read and follow, and on the other hand, I always feel depressed reading your stuff because of all the pain and angst you put Buffy through. Looks like it's going to be the same old, same old, judging by your first chapter. There are certainly hints there as to the direction you're going to take. And is poor Legolas the only remaining elf in the land?
Comments from author:
You know, I can really see how depressed you can get after reading one of my epics. In the past I always did seem to revel in breaking Buffy in the best (or worst) of ways, but I always aimed to put her back together again when I was done. Even though this story is starting in a very sad place, I'm actually hoping that it will serve more as a continued effort to put Buffy back together. Yes, there will be sadness and angst, but overall, I'm aiming towards a much lighter piece - it's just that for the direction I'm heading, this was the place where I just had to start. Sorry!

And to answer your question, yes, Legolas is indeed the last elf left in Middle-earth. Very sad day, indeed!

Amazing that you're writing the sequel to this story! Thank your new husband for me. I love the story and have reread it many times. I can't wait for more of this story. I'm scared to see what happens next because I like seeing Buffy have her love right now. I really, can't wait for the next part!
Comments from author:
I'll make sure to pass on the thanks to the hubby. At this rate, HE'S going to be the one that ends up with a swollen head. :) And I'm so glad that you're enjoying this view of a happily in love Buffy. We didn't always get that in the series, so it's kind of fun to explore that side in this project.

Thanks again!

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Recent Donor)Smurfette
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, Equinoxium sequel!! EEEEEEEE!!!! Okay, time to calm down. I have to say, I totally didn't see the Buffy/Legolas side coming -- I thought it was all in my head. My inner Buffy/Thoron shipper has been Jossed (Lisetted?). I'm sure reading this pairing will be such a hardship, though!

I really don't have much to say on this chapter -- I just can't wait to see where you take us with this, especially as Buffy is the only thing keeping Legolas in Middle Earth, and she's losing her ties to the mortal elements so much. With how you write woobie!Buffy, I can make some guesses about future plotlines, and I'm Rather Eager to see if my thoughts are correct (the opening dream suggests I could be).

All in all, though, I'm tremendously excited and now I think I shall have a Selected Chapters review of Equinoxium, mainly because if I start rereading it as a whole I won't do anything else for the next several days. I'm still all aflutter at getting a sequel, to be perfectly honest! *flappy hands*
Comments from author:
Oh how your review made me smile and grin! Your enthusiasm is infectious, and I may just take a break from reading reviews from over the weekend to dip back into E2 and pick up where I left off. But before I go - I'm sorry that I Jossed your preferred ship! If it helps, I may throw in a few flashbacks during the course of the story that will revisit past battles and times in Middle-earth, including those with Thoron.

And BTW - LOVE the term woobie!Buffy! That one's a new one for me, and thanks for sharing!

Happy reading!

Can i say, well come back! after i saw your fanpics for Equinoxium II, i was so excited but i set myself that i will wait for it patiently and here you are...i'm so happy.
nice way to start the story, buffy narrating about what happen in the past and i'm so happy it's legolas and buffy pairing, i was hoping from the first one and my wish came true..hehehe.
it is just sad that everybody died and living and about to die...;(
can't wait for your next chapter....
Comments from author:
Yeah - I certainly picked a depressing time/place to start the story, didn't I? Unfortunately, once I realized when and where the sequel was to take place, I realized that first I had to cover what happened to all of the much-beloved characters that helped to fill out the first story so nicely. But hey - Buffy/Legolas pairing! Hopefully that little nugget will help to ease the way with everything that's yet to come.

Thank you for the review!

How glad I am to see you back and writing a sequel to Equinoxium and a BIG THANKS to your husband who is supporting and encouraging you. I'm going back to read Equinoxium again so I can get a better feel for this new story.
Comments from author:
Aw, thanks from me and my husband! It's amazing how much difference such support can mean for my motivation to dedicate so much of my free time to this project. And enjoy your re-read of Equinoxium - I did the same in order to get in the right frame of mind (i.e. Buffy's head) in order to write this. :)
