Review of chapter "When She Was Mad." from Vilkath
Review:
Mmm I kind hope something more comes from the whole 'beating the crap out of a human for no reason thing'. Buffy already walking a pretty dark path and Angel no better standing there watching it happen.. then just leaving the guy weakend and bruised in the middle of Sunnydale at night, the Bronze even vampire hot spot number one. Both acts are pretty bad and I really hope Ranma takes some offense to that or Buffy actualy feels bad about it, the whole gung ho corrupt cop routine better not be swept under the rug just because Ranma could take it. Dating a vampire pet, feeding blood of humans to him against their will and beating up humans does not make a very good slayer.

Was a slayer not supposed be able tell if another is a vampire by sense, or confirm with a cross? Just randombly beating up anyone in a supsicious area is a very dumb thing to do in Sunnydale where every are is suspcious.

I was also a bit confused with the bit where Ranma passed out male infront of Aura but apparently woke up female? Even accepting a random rain shower changed his gender wouldn't Aura be a little freaked out by it?

Review:
Well isn't that a coincidence, I was just reading some Ranma fic when this published last night!

The story seems a little vague exactly on what the spell did, but it sounds like it affected Ranma somehow in some way that screws up his internal energies, but Kendra is actually the Slayer. Is that about right?

This idea could be interesting, I especialy like fact it's a slayer based Ranma fic that did NOT lock him female for a change. That being said I do hope Ranma catches up on his skills some how because being weaker than Akane and such is a bit disapointing. Plus physical enhancments from Chi aside the sheer skill Ranma has should make him the best slayer ever. He's not only well trained he's inventive and adapts well, thats about all Buffy had as a slayer over Kendra and such was that she was not predictable.

Review of chapter "Choser of the Slayer." from JustJesting
Review:
If I remember correctly, there actually already is a story on this site with a similar premise: there it's post-S7 and the girls of Nerima (together with a locked Ranma) have become weaker by becoming slayers. Seeing that even in the manga they are performing inhumanly strong acts (I remember the first appearance of Mariko, where Ranma ricochets a volleyball thrown with full force rather casually with a piece of candy), 'downgrading' the Ranma cast (or main character) would be necessary for the Buffy cast to keep up.

Storywise, I want to take a guess: Ranma is not the Slayer, but is acting as some sort of chi-battery for the other Slayers. Buffy came back from her first death feeling stronger than before (canon, just before she kills the Master) and Kendra is obviously connected to the power pool by being a potential or becoming the Slayer. The question is: how do you break the connection? And would that be such a good idea? Somehow, I don't see Ranma accessing his pool just yet...

Well, I liked the first chapter. Granted, we haven't seen much of Buffy (the show) other than the setup, but I am hopeful for future chapters.

Thanks for writing,
Just in Jest

Review:
So as I see it Ranma is slower but stronger in female form. He seemed shocked that he was able to bend the bar, or was it shock at how hard it was?

Questions to look out for.
Is his male form still as strong as usual or also effected?
He seems prety confused by Angel how will he react if Angelus shows up?
Police woman from Taraka uses guns. How will he cope now that he is slower.
The Judge. Ranma rarly uses weapons how will he cope?

I can see Ranma being good friends with the the scoobie slacker Xander. Willow is just too geeky Buffy is just a violent tom boy. and Angel would be just wierd although there could be sparing partners there.

I can see him and Kendra getting on well together. I can't imagin how Halloween will effect Ranma. Or Nodoka for that mater.

Ranko and Nodoka Smith... ok I didn't see that comeing at all.

Oh hi Weebee, I hadn't excepted to see you here.
Ok review time, so far excellent story. So Ranma is now a Slayer, Nodoka still has no idea that Ranko is Ranma, and Council is going to have an even more independent Salyer than Buffy or Faith. Can't wait to see how this will go ~GraysonPaladin as seen on FFN

Uh I really dont think Ranma would let anyone use yet MORE magic on him/her. Thats really stretching the bounds of believability on my part. Magic has NEVER been good for our hero and theres no way he would let them use more.
Comments from author:
Hmm, while you have a good point, there are reasons for this, like for all things.

Firstly, while a dislike of magic and unwillingness to use it would be a perfectly normal responce to Ranma's situation, it's not one he/she has shown very often. Magic has been used by Ranma quite a few times in the Manga,

See the weapons used against Pink and Link, Phoenix Mountain, the fact that using more Jusenkyo to fix the curse is considered at all, the wishing sword, etc, etc.

Secondly, in this particular case Ranma didn't want to use the magic in question, and if the Watcher's Council had come to her and asked to do this, they would have gotten a flat out "No."

Nodoka, on the other hand, Ranma both trusts, and, given she doesn't know about the curse, Nodoka has no real reason why Ranko would distrust magic enough to refuse to do whatever she could to help.

That is, of course, my interpretation on the matter and you're free to disagree, but given the factors outlined, I thought the plot device wasn't too outlandish.

Review:
Pointing out each tally's content at the beginning of the next chapter will make it fun.

For now, I think the screwups are:
1) not realizing the hole in the prophecy,
2) choosing a Jusenkyo victim as a candidate,
3) managing to weaken Ranma and possibly freeze his curse, and
4) not reporting in in Roger Zabuto's case.

I admit a powerdown is the only way to give the series regulars a chance to fuck up Ranma's life, but magic and the hellmouth are never straightforward, and the fact is that there will be more chaos.

I shudder to think what'll happen when they try the Cruciamentum on Ranma anyway, likely overriding or even suppressing his mother to do this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Postscript: Did you, perhaps, read *Guardian* over at Fanfiction.net? The running tally reminds me oof that epic tale of post-series madness for Ranma..
Why? I have three reasons:
1) The hormone shot might actually suppress whatever's weakening him (and feeding the power to Kendra),
2) Ranma does NOT like anything hassling his Mom, and
3) Buffy will be devastated just from canon. Seeing this done to a Watcher and her daughter? She's liable to tear Quentin a well deserved new hole, assuming anything left after Hurricane Ranma's done with them.
As a side note, if Ranma is NOT frozen, what's going to happen to Kendra when he becomes himself again (and has to explain matters, virtually gauranteeing a rift between mother and son)?
Should I understand that Ranma is weaker than before the ritual and that she's not the slayer despite what the council believes?
Otherwise, nice beginning.
Yes, that is correct.
