Sad news for Anne's friend. I hope Batman catches the bad guys soon so she is not tempted to take any rash action.

I hope Anne gives the costume brigade a chewing out for watching her rather than going after the crooks. Worried about a new mom? They really really do not know her well at all. Ifthe had messed with her baby it would be a different tale.

Awesome chapter! So much happened within it. Seriously can't wait to see what she had and what you name the baby. As well as her getting back into slaying, which would bring her right back into Batman's line of sight, I'm thinking. Just my thoughts. Waiting for more.

I guess Donna would be a very good source of info on female warriors, and keeping an eye on wherever the current Slayer is stationed only makes sense. Pity that Dick does not even know the right questions to ask. Or maybe it is a good thing because him finding out anything about Buffy will probably only be bad.
As for the middle bit, I shudder to think what Harley might do if she can't help out her clown. Best case she might get a case of bat envy but I don't think Batman will ever trust her with the location of his cave!

You'll have to read the companion story to this one, "It's Not Him", once my muse for it starts cooperating again. All will be explained there, though you are the first one to bring up the question. I was beginning to wonder if I'd been too subtle with that little tidbit.

I hope Dick learns that emulating Bruce's 'don't tell anyone more than the absolute minimum amount of information you have to tell them' attitude will come around and bite you in the ass, eventually. Had he mentioned what he really was looking for to Donna, he would have learned some invaluable information. As it is, he ended up thinking that he was on a wild goose chase. ;-)

If Harley is looking to come up with some grand gesture to make Mr. J look favorably on her again, and decides that such a gesture needs to involve Anne or Janice, she might not live long enough to learn just how huge a mistake that would be. Oh well, Darwin will prove his point again. ;-)

True, he might have gotten some additional info from Donna but he still would have had to get passed the 'only one at a time' aspect of The Chosen. Of course he and Bats might try and figure out a way for there to be more than one at a time should they follow Sherlock's credo of 'After eliminating all other possibilities, the one that is left, regardless of how outlandish, is the correct answer'. The California connection would definitely made them lean more towards Anne being The Chosen. Or A Chosen in the case that there really were more than one.

Harley shouldn't be too much of a concern for a while as she learns to walk again and deals with various problems having to do with her lung being pierced by a dusty antique crossbow bolt. But should she do something stupid, thus making even Harmony look like a genius, her time to learn something from that mistake will be very, very short.

Poor, poor Dick! So close! Ouch. Well, that'll throw Batman and Robin off their trail for a while, at least. Can't wait to see what happens when he finds out he was on the right track after all, though! Looking forward to the next chapter. ^.^
