I loved this story. Do you hear me? I loved it. LOVED it. Your characterization of Haldir is magnificent, the romance is gradual, believable, and tender. You even made me not-hate Willow for the duration, something which few are able to accomplish. The tragic finish is a plus-- I do get tired of happy-slappy endings all the time. It made me cry, and not for the usual reasons I cry whilst reading fic like bad grammar, terrible characterization, etc.
Dare I hope that Haldir did indeed give Willow something to remember him by, p'raps in the form of a little lembas in her oven? I would be delighted to see a sequel. Please consider me as a beta if you do decide to write one.
