I do believe that you are incorect with Giles title. Rupert Giles xth baron/earl/baronet xxxxx KG OBE PHD.

For example one famous figure's official title was Peter Alexander Rupert Carington, 6th Baron Carrington KG, GCMG, CH, MC, PC, DL

Just an idea but if you send Buffy or Scooby's with Giles for moral support have some of the SGC soldiers at the funeral be ex initiative. Hammond will get confused at the high level of respect shown by his people to this stranger.

Being able to see through somebody else's eyes sure would help when you aren't sure of their feelings. So...can Giles feel Buffy's emotions as well? Can he feel that she loves him back?

Now that will be telling. :) I will more then likely have it go both ways. Not sure yet.

I love this fic! I've never really enjoyed Giles/Buffy, but I like how you used the Watcher/Slayer bond to make it work and not seem creepy :D

Nice chapter, although the giant monster of a paragraph towards the end was a pit off-putting. I'd suggest splitting it up into a couple of separate paragraphs instead of just one large one, to make it easier to read.

Not much to comment on plot-wise, since we're only three chapters in, but it's interesting so far.

I see you are responding to your own Challenge. I really like BtVS/SG1 xovers, and this with Giles as the relative is a rare and intriguing variant. I am keenly looking forward to the next installment. I think General Hammond's phone call from the President (ie what the President says or hints at) will cause him quite some puzzlement!

The call is intended to do just that. I had to give Giles a little power in the dynamic as he will be facing off against the General and SG-1.
