I like stories where Xander has other parents. Usually better parents. Since he's already an adult, it will be interesting to see whether he and a hard nosed Gibbs will become friends.

I agree he needs better parents. His were such jerks. I love reading AU stories but I'm not always good at writing them so figure taking it from where they ended is best. Probably would have set it as current NCIS but I haven't really watched it this year (something about it just wasn't clicking like it used to)

A well written opening with Gibbs making the mistake of acting like an agent rather than a long lost relative.

Thank you. Yeah figure Gibbs would goof up that way, going by his gut rather then thinking things out first. Eventually he'll eat crow for it :)
