Review of chapter "Halloween" from LFW
Nice character pick from LoTR for Xander and Willow.
I am looking forward to more as I am not sure if they can stand the Hellmouth.

Review of chapter "Halloween" from Vilkath
A very interesting choice and honestly one the few LoTR xovers I have seen that did not involve dumping the characters in middle earth. Be funny if Xander and willow buy up some out of town farming area and making their own elven forest. It might take time but was it not said the forest grew as large and powerful as it did because the land was infused wiht the power of the elves? I could see it taking a lot of time, complex rune work and what not but it be interesting.

Xander should also retain some of the elven metal working skills, Elrond is the guy who repaired the broken sword in the books/movie after all. Repairing a master work like that to it's proper strength takes more skill than making one really
Comments from author:
It's been a while, but I think that Elrond gave the sword to the smiths, rather than smithing it himself. Also, they have two of the rings that helped heal/maintain the land. Actually, that's an interesting thought - the influence of the rings on the Hellmouth...

Have to think about that

Review of chapter "Halloween" from SFBKludge
Pretty good start.
Bringing in two of the Three is going to be the ancient Chinese curse.

My biggest concern is Ethan just doesn't have the power level even channeling through the Janus bust to power either of their personal power pools. let alone the Rings. Something else must be afoot. If A/W lapse in their power cloaking they will either scare off or attract anything that could even remotely detect them.

BTW its minor nit. But Tolkien Elves don't understand our concept of "magic". You can see that when the Fellowship are setting off by boat. I can't come up with the exact quote but It was when Sam commented about the quality and suppleness of ropes.

Galadriel also commented about not understanding Frodo's magic when she was showing him her mirror.

Review of chapter "Halloween" from WolfWriter
Drooooooooollllll! I have to wipe the slobber off of the screen in order to write this review! I love it! I love it! I LOVE IT! Can ya tell I love it?

Xander as Elrond; I kind of had him pegged as Legolas, but what the hey? This might be even better.

How is the Hyena going to deal with an Elf-Lord? If she has any brains, she will bugger off while the getting is good, and disappear. I can't wait to see Xan/Elrond deal with the wretched goblin that is Snyder! That is going to be a verbal smackdown of epic proportions. Not to mention what he can now do to vampires! He will more than likely chew Angel out for his obssession with a teenager and either kick him to the curb or take his head preemptively.

As for Willow, turning her into Galadriel is something new. I don't know if there are any stories here that deal with her turning into an Elf-Lady, much less Galadriel. She, of course, will now be more than able to defend herself against Queen C and her flock of sheep.

Giles, who I have always pegged as a closet Tolkien fiend, will be more than a bit flummoxed as to how to deal with these two, and the fact that they probably know more about the origins of the Slayer than he does, but he will deal with it.

As for Ethan; he needs therapy in the worst way. First a good butt kicking from any of the three I have just mentioned; but Giles gets dibs.

Buffy will have the most problems; she's used to people being a certain way, and now that Willow and Xander have changed so completely, she is going to find it EXTREMELY hard to adapt to that.

I look forward to more chapters of this little tale.

Review of chapter "Halloween" from norgco
Good chapter, I look forward to more.

The personality changes in the two should be interesting. From my limited knowledge of the characters they will never be the people they were will they? At the time of the trilogy Elrond is over 3,000 years old and Galadrial nearly 1400, both powerful and wise rulers, right? Giles is no longer the wise elder in the group is he, how will he handle that?

So Willow won't let her ego overtake her good sense in her magic, and Xander will have the self confidence and study ethic he lacked previously. Neither will ever think like a teenager again, will they?

Also they are not biologically human, or that is the implication I see.

It should be an interesting story.
Comments from author:
Apparently, by the time they sail into the West, they are 6500 and 7000 yo respectively, and, yes, they had ruled their own people for a very long time. Oh, and Galadriel is Elrond's mother-in-law, but I'm making the relationship between Xander and Willow fraternal.

Love how 'Elrond' zinged Cordelia! Liked her response to same zing. I think this story will do well.
