Darksnider is right and feel the same way. To me this story will probably go like all other crossovers of btvs with scifi, Xander will become nothing more than a background character adding some tech and starting a tech company with Giles becoming head of the company. Buffy will continue to be pigheaded and be fully supported like she is queen of the world. Willow will become head of the computer department as well as becoming an UBER POWERFUL witch. Nothing new, a tired cliche, at least to me that reeks of buffy wank. Xander is a zerg, a species that conquered planets and evolves to combat their foes, he could become greater than a slayer or leaves for a unique life but that scenario is not going to happen, i'm betting. I will hold out hope that you will not go down the path of fail and instead follow that path of win. Good luck.

Awesomesauce. Great stuff. Looking forward to more. While I liked the other version a lot too, what happens in this story seems more likely somehow :-P (in how "un-smoothly" things are going)
Thanks for the great read.

For someone with a cure for Cancer and so many other chances at a completely unique life I feel nothing for the idiot who wouldn't jump at it.
He could market himself as having a cure for just about every disease on the planet. Than again I doubt this story will take such a path and even be half that intriguing. Most likely were heading for angst though hopefully the transformation sufficiently kills those feeling with a vengeance.
Be the most famous person on the planet for changing the very path of Earth but noooo.

I'm not saying the stuff you describe won't happen...eventually, but keep in mind that in his knowledge, Zerg= indiscriminate slaughter. basically, he's afraid that if his Zerg side gets stronger, he'd turn to expand/assimilate/evolve mentality of the Zerg, with nothing else having any meaning for him. I really don't see the canon Xander risking that, at any point of the series.

You meant Deirdre, not Diedre. The former is a popular Irish name, the latter is a ridiculously unpopular and archaic French one. It's so archaic that not only have I never heard of it but it doesn't even make the list of 'least popular girl names'. Speaking of, I don't know why Coraline is unpopular, it's a great name.
> vampire with soul
I keep expecting him to scream YEOOW and start singing 'I feel good! I knew that I would!' Dance Angel dance!! YEOW!

I took the name from the Wiki, whether it is a correct existing name is another matter

Not bad. But even a synthetic virus would never infect ALL species. Certainly there is no chance that it would jump from mammals to insects or plants, for example. In fact, it's very likely that a virus with some kind of external function, like transforming the host, would 1) fail to cross the species barrier, and 2) cease to perform the external function rapidly. Replication errors would ensure that any genes in the virus not strictly necessary for self-replication of the virus (ie, almost everything) would get weeded out. So the virus would evolve to become deadly and non-transforming.

i like what i see. However, you have to show scenes where Buffy and Kendra talk that Being slayers they can take anything the zerg can bring against them so that Giles can berate them explaining that the zerg are a race of aliens who conquered entire planets in their rampages.
Good luck.

Liam was an Irishman from a time when love--in any form--was more the exception than the rule.
Add to the whole drift that 16 is easily marriage age the fact that he's a vampire and ANYONE is younger than he is unless she's another vamp.
Being genuinely loved and wanted by a brave young girl that actually knows the score? It's no damn wonder, especially as to his mind he was consummating their bond.

Will the virus keep improving Xander as the it comes into contact with demons/Aliens/Humans with superior DNA? I do have to admit to having no knowledge of what the Zerg are or their abilities. Also why isn't it mutating Xander into a queen? assuming of course that the Zerg are similar in aspect to some insects and Xenomorphs with a sense of survival and immutable DNA.
Have you taken into account the memories of the Terran Xander was or the abilities Xander would have from having the memories of a ghost and an extremely potent telepath. Or do you intend to cut that part out Kerrigan drove her mother to death or something by accident I'm pretty sure.
