Review of chapter "Harvest Moon" from anotherlostsoul
Review:
I absolutely love this series, and this latest vignette is a perfect addition. Its these little glimpses of the lives of Tindome and Rumil and their family between the big events that makes the story all the more real. Everytime I see a new chapter of this story posted or a new story posted in this series I get excited and I quite literally hang on every word.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much - I really do appreciate that you take the time to let me know that you like it. I really like writing these little vignettes, although there is a longer story in the pipe-line for a BigBang challenge in late July - so look out for it here around then.

Review of chapter "The Right Kind of Shield" from (Past Donor)DonSample
Review:
I've spent the last couple of days reading this entire series, and it is really very good.

When I came across this little collection of vignettes, I couldn't help thinking that it would be nice to read a story in which Éowyn learns that her musings about Elves engaging in "marital relations" from the final chapter in "Brotherhood" are *very* wrong.
Comments from author:
Edited 8/11/11 - I hope the edited comment gets e-mailed to you again - just to say you certainly sparked something off with this comment - I posted 'Educating Éowyn' a few days ago...

Original answer; Thank you so much - I am really pleased to know that you've enjoyed them.

As for Éowyn learning that she had her 'facts' wrong; that might well be a good idea for a vignette - thank you for the suggestion!

It might have to wait in the queue for a little - but I will certainly keep it in mind.

Ha! A fun little side to this world you've created. All the wagering and straight-faced, deadpan delivery cracks me up. Thank you again for a delightful read!

It's my pleasure - I really enjoy writing in this little world of my own!

I could never abandon you! When I get an update notification I run here instantaneously! You are, like, my favorite fanauthor EVER.

Seriously, though? If you've never seen Glee, check it out, the fandom is freaking addictive.
Comments from author:
Thank you! ::dances Joyful around and around::

I have to avoid things with addictive fandoms - I have too many stories in my brain for these characters! (And an unfinished straight Buffyverse story that was abandoned when I wandered into the LotR fandom one wet Sunday afternoon...!)

Review:
Sorry it took me so long to review this. I ADORE it and I'd love more about this.

I cannot believe how completely glee fandom has taken over my life over the pat couple of months. I'd almost entirely forgotten my love of LotR fandom.
Comments from author:
I'm really pleased that you liked it - a couple of people at the other archive where I post have asked if I will continue it - and I am rather tempted. Well, very tempted, to be honest!

**I cannot believe how completely glee fandom has taken over my life **

Please don't abandon me!

I went "squee!"

Sorry it took me so long to r&r this, I was at a NYE party & there was alcohol. ;)

This is my favorite ficlet of the series yet! I want more about the smith, and I was hoping to see the elves' reaction to the Christmas story. This was a perfect ficlet for this time of year! Kudos! I'm gonna go read it again.
Comments from author:
Thank you! Happy New Year!

I haven't decided whether to leave this here, or write another piece to follow it - I'll have to wait and see how the time/muse goes...

so long as it isn't A Christmas Carol or the Star Wars Christmas Special.

I still think " 'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house..." would be even worse... :~)

Aw, poor Faramir! At least no one else heard about Haldirin's ghost! :)
Comments from author:
Thank you - I can just imagine them all trying to say nothing so that Faramir doesn't find out...

A very nice side story for an excellent series. Thanks again. :)

Thank you. There are currently one more short story written ( but set when Haldirin is a young warrior, so I'm hanging on to it for a while) and two half written to add to this series, so look out for updates!

Review of chapter "Mortal Illness" from Miluiel
Review:
Oh, I did like this! I've wondered, since "Starlight Bathing", if Tindömé ever sorted the razor situation out to her satisfaction . . . .
Comments from author:
I think she is likely to find that most body hair has thinned a little and grows more slowly - her hormones will probably have changed a little as she adapted to immortality.

But I think those very sharp throwing knives that Orophin gave her, and her equally sharp boot knife, might do double duty at times...

Review of chapter "Strawberry Kisses" from (Past Donor)Joyful
Review:
I love it. I had wondered if she'd fooled around with any of the other ellyn , or even ellyth (since we know Rumil's been around the block a few times with both sexes) before she became officially betrothed to Rumil. I had especially wondered if she'd ever played around with Galanthir. This little snippet was very, very nice. :D
Comments from author:
I am having fun doing these little fill-ins and answering some of those questions. Just what form the 'more' might have actually taken I leave to you, gentle reader....

If I didn't already say so, I love that the elves regard all illnesses as "mortal".

Hi, glad to know you've found and enjoyed this wee bit. The next one of these is already written - and another which I will hold onto for a while as it is from about ...um... 100 years after this one!
