Review of chapter "Chapter Three." from (Current Donor)Speakertocustomers
Review:
Wouldn't anyone who saw an eight-foot monkey in Hartlepool just assume it was H'Angus in costume?
Comments from author:
Sorry, I give up. You've lost me on that reference.

If I saw and 8ft monkey in Hartlepool I'd be worried what they were making the Newcastle Brown out of!

Review:
I still like monkeys. The jury is still out on whether or not I like this one. He is, after all, a creature wronged, and it is just the nature of vengeful spirits to attack those who they feel wronged by. =] Great fun and I'll be waiting anxiously for the next update.
Comments from author:
Thank-you. Hell hath no fury like a monkey scorned?

Cheers,
Dave.

It looks like you're not going to throw Buffy under the bus. I could be wrong. Funny Xander and Faith on the hunt.
Comments from author:
Whatever happens to Buffy in my stories remember I DO like her.

Xander and Faith with their baggage whats not to like?

Cheers,
Dave.

Review:
Good thinking, Faith - now we know who is the brains of the operation!
Comments from author:
I always read Faith as poorly educated and a bit impulsive, not stupid.

Cheers,
Dave.

Review:
Sooo ... this is what happens when the British write crackfic?? This seems like a very deranged version of Buffy Meets the Beeb. I keep expecting David Suchet to show up stroking his moustache and muttering about his "little grey cells", or (perhaps even more terrifying) Mrs. Slocombe to start screaming bloody murder about the monkey ravishing her pussy.

(Hmmm... perhaps Millstone Manor is located in Cleveland, and we will get cameos by Slocombe, Humphries, et al?)
Comments from author:
It was tempting to write this as a giant white kitten roaming the streets of Hartlepool...but I resisted the temptation, phew!

Cheers,
Dave.

Review:
Poor Ernie, he should have taken the personal defense against a banana class... ouch =S.
Poor Scoobies, they're really needing a lot of counseling, and about those "awyers? I bet they are in the Wolfram & Hart staff.

Cool chapter, see ya!!.
Comments from author:
No, all lawyers are evil whether they work for W&H or not. You just have to employ lawyers who are more evil!

Chers,

Review:
I've been saying/writing for years that the Cleveland Hellmouth was in, well, Cleveland, although I usually place it in Stockton-on-Tees rather than Middlesbrough. Of course if it is in Middlesbrough it's probably under the Riverside Stadium; that would explain their run of results under Gordon Strachan.
Comments from author:
I remember visiting Middlesbrough with some Irish friends of mine (which sounds a little suspect) back in the 90's (pre-Buffy) and the horror of the visit remains with me to this day. To be honest I've not actually pin-pointed the location of the hellmouth precisely so your suggestion of under the Riverside Stadium sounds as good as any! Perhaps a short subplot for a later story.

My feelings have always been that as Giles is English he'd have meant Cleveland in England. If he'd meant the one in Ohio he'd have said, 'Cleveland, Ohio' or something!

Thank-you for your support...perhaps we should start a 'Giles meant the one in England!' campaign?

Tee hee! I love monkeys. Then again, I really enjoy your stories, so I would be reading even if there weren't a monkey involved! I'll be waiting for the next part. =]
Comments from author:
Thank-you, but I don't think you'll like this monkey however.

More on Tuesday (London time).

Review:
Dude, they really got it bad, and the Hellmouth being in Cleveland, England instead of the other Cleveland? That was a really nasty and funny surprise.
So, it's a monkey spook hunt?. Cool, I hate monkeys, they're ugly :P.

Cool chapter, see ya!!.
Comments from author:
There's Cleveland's all over the world, basically one everywhere Britain colonised (although I think the US one was named after a President).

Having lived near the place and worked in the area I thought, why not?

Monkey's ugly? Can't say I have an opinion either way its just the way the legend goes.

Cheers,
DaveT.

Review:
Brilliant. "Middlesbrough hellmouth"; well that certainly explains a lot (in fact, when they said there was a hellmouth in Cleveland on the show my response was 'I knew it'). Look forward to seeing what you're going to do with this.
Comments from author:
This entire sorry idea was brought about by someone on the forums basically telling me to stop being silly, that of course Giles meant the Cleveland in Ohio. My feeling was, Giles is Engish, chances were he'd automatically mean the Cleveland in Northern England. So, here we are.

Cheers.

Review:
Not sure I know the origin of this one, except I have a VERY vague memory of the monkey story, looking forward to more.
Comments from author:
I think its more of a legend than a myth and some claim it happened in South Shields, myself I go with the Hartlepool version.
