Review of chapter "A League Of Their Own" from Strangyr
Review:
This is a storie I'll be following.....I look fprward to updates.

S.E.T.I, Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, received a burst transmission that filled their buffers with data. Thanks in part to the latest technologies available, they were able to translate the message.

The message was: “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!”

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comments from author:
I used S.E.T.I to show to what degree reality was being altered as well as to show the reactions of other aliens but I didn't what to be too specific who it was. Could you honestly see Lilandra say that?

Dude!!!

I am so tracking this story!!! The fact you you had mother and daughter betting the crap out each other and then Angel as Batman while Xander is Superman!!!!! I would love to know how you came up with this idea and the path you are taking it. Please don't take long to update!!
Comments from author:
I am happy to see you are enjoying it. Actually coming up with the idea isn't the hard part, I get about fifty cajillion ideas for crossovers a day it seems like which causes writing my stories to be interesting to write.

excellent. I love the idea of Jenny going as Zatanna.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you liked the idea. The choice of having Jenny going as Zatanna was automatic for me.

Having sort of been on the "ground floor" when you were kicking this idea around, I'm not too surprised by this chapter (since you were cool enough to let me get a sneak peek at it). Although, I was reading your Willy segment and recalling a conversation we had.

Conspiracies in the Marvel Universe...Willy's going to be VERY busy. Question about this version of "The Question"...Willy's not going to end up with cancer like the original is he?
Comments from author:
No, Willie's not going to have cancer and die like the original.

Review:
This is the shit. Seriously, but I have to ask, is the DC Universe a comic series in this, so will they be known comic heroes? I'm hoping no, that adds to the mystique in their own verse.
Comments from author:
Actually, I'm pulling more from the DCAU than from the comics though some comic elements will be seen. No, they aren't known in this version of the Marvel universe hense Ethan explaining the costumes to Willow and Xander.

Review:
This is a pretty interesting premise- I like the argument that it was too much order that led to all the crap that tore up the Marvel universe. You really can't say that if Tony Stark hadn't been in charge of so much that the Skrull invasion and subsequent Norman Osborn takeover would have been so successful. The introduction of so many powerful DC heroes will certainly shake things up; SHIELD and the FOH types will both crap themselves when they get a hold of the Kryptonian and Wonder Woman stats. Off hand I can't think of many Marvel heroes that could go toe to toe with a fully powered Superman- Hulk and Thor are the only two that come to mind. I do admit that I'm disappointed that there wasn't a Green Lantern in the mix but oh well. Oh, and the Initiative boys better get out of Dodge quickly because Maggie Walsh will strap them down so fast... looking forward to the next chapter
Comments from author:
I'm glad you like it. If Nick Fury had been in charge, there would have been far less fallout from the Skrull Invasion. There is a Green Lantern that will be revealed in the next chapter and I will say one thing about him. He is a Big Gunn.

Review:
Hmm... the Justice League as agents of Chaos?? I suppose, if one considers the old D&D alignment of Chaotic Good. I can't see Ethan being that goody-goody though.

The matchups don't work that well for me, but I want to see where you take this. My own suggestions. admittedly from comics as well as the cartoon:

Buffy: Wonder Woman or Power Girl
-Diana is, of course, the pre-eminent woman in DC, the veritable representation of the gods; PG represents a more adult representation of the female Kryptonian than Supergirl
Xander: Nightwing or Captain Marvel Jr.
-Both are highly skilled warriors who never quite get the attention of their predecessors
Willow: Raven, Starfire, or Mary Marvel
-Powerful women with interesting storylines and a potential for the darkside
Cordelia: Catwoman or Black Canary
-Hotness without major power-ups; 'nuff said.
Giles: Dr. Fate or Martian Manhunter, possibly original (Earth-2) Green Lantern
-Removed from the realm of ordinary people, with mystic or quasi-mystic powers, also the voice of experience
Dawn: Supergirl or Stargirl
-the young, eager hero with a boatload of power
Oz: Citizen Steel or Wildcat
-CS is a very reluctant hero, and I can't resist the humor of a werewolf with a cat motif!
Faith: Huntress, possibly Vixen
-serious bad attitude with both
Jenny: Batgirl, later Oracle
-Jenny in spandex, plus her computer skills as Oracle

Angel/us: Batman/Owlman or Spectre
--Angel does the Dark Knight so well, but being the Spectre would allow for some serious wrath-bringing
Spike: Joker or Deadman
--Frankly, a vampire Joker scares me, but I can't see Spike as Luthor or Sinestro, and none of the other villains I can think of are big enough. The Deadman's sense of humor would work for Spike as an anti-hero
Drusilla: Poison Ivy
--Crazy, seductive, deadly
Harmony: Harlequin
--Daffy, not a major threat
Willy: Penguin or Riddler
--Two villains who could work as information brokers
Comments from author:
I'm glad you enjoyed it but I'd like to respond to your suggestions.

Buffy already has super strength and super speed when compared to a normal human anyway. Turning her into Wonder Woman or Power Girl wouldn't have caused her any problems as she already is a metahuman. Give her a completely different power than what she's use to and she has to learn to control it.

Xander as Nightwing or Captain Marvel Jr wouldn't have worked for me either. While Nightwing would have been good based on his personality, I needed to have Xander be Superman. I didn't want to use heroes who are pale reflections of the previous one. I don't see Nightwing in that category but Captain Marvel Jr is.

Willow: Raven wouldn't have been a good idea as I'm trying to not have her be uber-magic girl. Starfire would have been a good choice but I didn't want to make a Teen Titans fic. Mary Marvel is also a powerful person magically and I didn't want that because it would have been too typical for her.

Cordelia: What's wrong with her being Wonder Woman? It fits better with her as a Princess than her as a former thief. Black Canary wouldn't have been good either because I can't see Cordelia like her.

Giles: Why'd you suggest Doctor Fate when I already have him as the good doctor?

Dawn: Already have her as Supergirl

Oz: Never liked Citizen Steel and isn't Wildcat in his sixties or seventies?

Faith: Wasn't in Sunnydale at the time.

Jenny: Good choice but you can't disagree that she wouldn't look good dressed as Zatanna plus it gives her a mystical power up.

Angel: Already have him as Batman. Owlman is evil. If I made him the Spectre, he'd be dead as would the Illuminati.

Spike: I agree that a vampire Joker scares anyone but it would be bad to see Luthor or Sinestro. I didn't want to kill him to make him Deadman either.

Drusilla: Poison Ivy isn't crazy per say

Harmony: Not a bad choice but I was trying to pick heroes.

Willy: Fat Willy?

Review:
This is great. Great choices for people to hero match ups. Although I would have one sent to Faith as well.

As for the Hulk in LA fight, poor bruiser is gonna get hammered by Xander, Willow and Cordellia.

I do have one suggestion. Please, please, please have Spidey leave the Avengers to join the Justice League. If there is any Marvel Hero who is up to the shining example of goodness that Superman and Wonder Woman are it is Spidey. I would say Captain America would be a good choice too, but if he left the Avengers they would crumble.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you enjoyed my matchups though I couldn't really see sending Faith a costume because of two reasons. 1) She was living in Boston at the time. Information would have been a little difficult for Ethan to find. 2) If I had sent her a costume, I would have had to send one to Kendra and I don't see Sam Zabato letting her wear a Halloween costume.

Feel pity for the Hulk as many others will be joining the fight such as Dawn/Supergirl, Joyce/Powergirl, Oz/Martian Manhunter, and Riley/Captain Atom to name a few.

I am considering Spidey joining the League but he isn't the only one I'm looking at. I'm giving serious thoughts about a few of the Thunderbolts.

Review:
Pretty cat girl insult hulk? HULK SMASH! rofl.
Absolutely hilarious story. Gotta say though it's written as if you expected there to be comic pannels there to support the work and forgot to add them in.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not nocking your story; it's, as usual, better than almost half of the work on this site, it's just there are things i don't agree with. Willow for instance Her charactor is all about two things, being the inteligent one (though not always the smart one...) and magic later on. Hawk girl is inteligent true, but she's only avarage and is all about smashing magic users with her mace. Dawns coustume choice as well. The personality fits her I'll admit and the powers will be useful for when glory finally hunts her down but it've been a lot more... poetic to have her as Raven from the teen titans. They're both massive energy wells made either for or by creatures of "indescribable evil" (snort), skilled in sorcery and who's purpose is to open a portal for said entity.

just my opinions; hope you continue, would love to hear your responce.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you like it. I will get to what you don't agree with right away. Too many times I have seen Willow become uber-magic girl because of Halloween or later on. I didn't want to go that route as it is too typical of what you see. Willow wielding a weapon that disrupts magic is the complete opposite of what you normally see and that is why I went that route. Dawn's costume choice was appropriate in my opinion as she is an emotional person. I didn't want to use Raven as Raven choses to supress her emotions. It would have been bad for Dawn's character to do that to her.
