I think that message S.E.T.I. got was probably from Galactus. Interesting reactions from the people who keep an eye out for any oddities in thier universe.

The message S.E.T.I got could have came from anybody. I mean the number of alien races and other beings out there is enormous. Galactus, Thanos, the Skrulls, the Shi'ar, and other races could have felt what happened and some may choose to investigate.

I actually got the idea for Deadpool appearing in this chapter from TAO who kinda shoved me in this direction after I told him one of the crazy plot bunnies that had popped up in my head.

Angel as Batman and Spike as Green Arrow pains me deeply, but I love the concept as a whole. The fact Giles could go toe to toe with Dr Strange now will be interesting. I wonder how the Vishanti will take Nabu having a link to one of their worlds? The fact that the Watchtower popped up too is a new spin. The neo-Justice League will actually have the resources to take care of themselves from the get go. I look forward to the next part.

Angel as Batman was too obvious but Spike as Green Arrow was thrown in as something you wouldn't expect as were several of the costume choices that I had made. Some people have commented why I chose Willow as the Hawkgirl of this fic rather than another DC magic user. The reason for this is simple as it wasn't what you expected and didn't stereotype Willow in the uber-magic user category. The Vishanti will react just about the same as everyone else will. They won't know what's going on. Having the Watchtower pop up was needed as I needed the new Justice League to be able to compete on the same level if not more so with the Avengers now rather than a year from now in the story.

Remember, this is set in a cross of Earth-616 and Buffyverse with the DCAU thrown in as costumes. No one from Sunnydale became anyone from the Marvel universe.

Oh I love it! Marvel was my first love, but I have become a huge DC fan over the last few years. I can't wait to see the clash between the much darker, greyish Marvel heroes and the bright shining example of the DC Justice League!

But remember this, these aren't exactly the DC heroes. They're several residents of Sunnydale turned into them. I'm glad you love it though. I'm working on chapter 2 right now.
