Okay, this is going to be interesting. I'm curious just how far back things changed to have Xander and the others being spellcasters. You have my attention. I also like that Xander and Cordelia are still together, since they are my favorite Buffyverse pairing.

Consider it the normal Sunnydale except it's a small magical community that built up around the magical school and Buffy moved there after incidents in LA. Xander probably fell off his broom instead of his skateboard the first time he saw her.

Though, I'm curious, does this mean *everyone* in Sunnydale High is magical? And is Buffy's family magical, or was that just a happy accident with Buffy? Would that mean her mother believed her about vampires after she burnt down the gym?

Thanks! I see Sunnydale High as a magical school that is kinda a pariah in America though it can't *quite* be completely ostracized because everyone is afraid of them. The fact that Buffy is a witch and a slayer gave the watchers fits though they were happy to finally have a place to send Giles (away from them).
