Edna Giles is actually a canon character, and she's Giles' grandmother. You should go check out the new chapter, which I posted last night :P

Good start to the sequel. Why couldn't Giles go with them? And how did Buffy know Dumbledore was the head master at the school? Can't wait to see Minerva and Buffy react to each other.

Giles needs to stay and help with the Council, although there should be a Scooby reunion sometime in the not so distant future.

Ahem. Anyway, this is a great start to the new story, and it looks like a big one. Now, the question is, are you going for Mischief-Maker!Dawn, or some other archetype? If it's Mischief-Maker, I can't wait for her to meet the Weasley twins.

Yay the sequel!! oh I am so excited for this!! Kinda bummed that Buffy is gonna be facing the ex-boyfriend who has turned evil again though. She never gets a break when it comes to the love department. I'm sure Quentin would say 'I-told-you-so' if he would see Buffy again. can't wait for the next chapter :)

I have my reasons for that. They may make an appearance, later on, but right now they're abroad and have little idea of what Buffy's doing or where she is with Dawn.

Yay for sequels!!! I'm so excited...and considering the fact that I just woke up from passing out earlier, that's an achievement ;-). I can't wait to see Buffy's reaction when she finds out that her beau looks more like Michael Jackson Redux than she ever wanted to know...Will Voldy make a run for the Olay Anti-Aging counter when he sees his little blonde looking lovely and dewy as when he last saw her? And since DumbleD obviously kept an eye on Buffy all this time...does Minerva know about her too (I just had a random vision of bespectacled cat attacks for some reason)?

Passing out? I hope you're okay, passing out is never a good thing. I snickered a little at the Anti-Aging counter comment, although by now Voldemort is a little too far gone to concern himself with human emotions.

Just 'cause Dumbledore kept an eye on her (and it was only for the last couple of years, more on that later) doesn't mean everyone else knows. Next chapter should reveal a little more.

You have started the sequel! The first chapter was a little light on description and felt a little bit rushed, but I am sure you'll find steady pace once things get going. I'm looking forward to see just how Dumbledore introduces Buffy and her sister and the reactions of everyone.

At last the sequel starts. I wonder what's in the extra trunk. Legacy from Giles' grandmother, held until a certain moment arrived? It's going to be interesting to see what Quentin's been up to. Minerva will have a heart attack (the funny kind, not the bad kind) on seeing her. Bet Augusta will be surprised, too.
Voldemort will be the most surprised, though. And Buffy's still got his charm bracelet. That could be very interesting. I wonder if he can sense its presence and/or locate it? He strikes me as the type to add something to any gift like that...
And boy howdy, can't wait for pensieve memories showing Buffy & Tom Riddle kissing etc -would weird out any who saw. Nobody in the current era thinks of Voldemort as human...

Yep, ol' Voldyshorts is going to be very surprised when he finds his little blonde spitfire is back from whatever happened to her. I can't wait to do the reactions to the penseive memories, and that is one of the things I'm most looking forward to.

I am so excited to see this sequel and cannot wait to see where it goes from here! I think you have done a good job of already setting up some of the key tensions that Buffy will be forced to deal with on her reintroduction to the magical world. Look forward to reading the next chapter.
