hm...which means Giles knows about the wizarding world and never told the scoobies... understandable I suppose, but there might be some resentment over secrecy. On Lavender--surely they would just have killed her & left the body with the dark mark over it? If not then they have a use for her, I'd think... maybe she's a Potential?
Gotta wonder if Dawn could use a wand--she's got a magical core if anybody does...

Giles did in fact know much more than he let on, but there was a very good reason he didn't. Most of which will be explained in the next chapter. Lavender, well you may be right or wrong, but I'm not telling yet. Again, it will all make sense in a few chapters.
