Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty" from shazamfan
Review:
After enjoying Cure so much I decided to check out your other tales. Sadly Gone didn't seem to catch so after the first three chapters I gave up. Might have to go back and re-read the rest of it at some point, but it just didn't grab me like Cure and Conditions did. You had me with the sweater and it only got better from there as I had to read all twenty chapters right then and there! Fantastic stuff!

I loved everything from the bounty hunter stuff to Buffy's amusing neighbor. Faith and Dean was awesome. You fused the two universes together nicely and I do hope that more might come of this tale that has Buffy and Sam joining up to aid out Dean on a hunt during a break from Sam's schooling. Plus have to wonder if other agents wouldn't try to pull Sam towards the same goals.

You painted some fun pictures in my head as the tale unfolded and I could so picture Giles and the others off in England. Buffy in her dom outfit was a nice touch.

Comments from author:
Yeah, Gone is a much heavier fic than Living Conditions or The Cure for Boredom. Not much humor going on there... But maybe sometime when your in the mood for something like that, you'll give it another chance. :-) I'm really glad you hear you enjoyed LC though! It was a lot of fun to write, so maybe I'll get around to writing a follow-up one day. ;P Thanks for taking the time to check out my other stuff!

Review:
Heheh, yay. I really enjoyed this story. As one of your other reviewers said, you managed to have interesting plot while still being light-hearted and just a good read. I could definitely stand to see more of Buffy the bounty-hunter (or Faith, for that matter); that was a good idea of Dawn's/yours. I can just imagine her in sort of the reverse of how it was in this story - staking a random mid-level vamp just off-handedly while actually trying to bring someone in. "Come on, can't you guys just lie low for a week or something? I'm trying to do a job here!"

Another point for you is that you've actually gotten me to read Supernatural fic. I generally don't, because I've never seen the show, but all of yours so far manage to explain things well enough that it doesn't matter. So, two thumbs up!
Comments from author:
I'm so happy you enjoyed it, Bookworm! And I'm glad you didn't get confused since you haven't seen SPN. I make quite a few references to the show - the hunt for the woman in white, the yellow eyed demon, Brady, etc., so I'm glad you didn't get thrown off by those. :-) Thanks so much for stopping in to check it out and thanks for the nice review!

Review:
Before I get to the review, can I just say that I stayed up until 5am this morning reading to chapter 10 before FINALLY admitting defeat and having to go to bed? I wasn't happy about that in the slightest but I got to pass the rest of my Sunday reading something that was wonderfully funny, totally in character and officially my absolute favourite fic for my Crossover-OTP.

Onto the fic! And oh what you did with this! I've read a few Buffy/Sam fics and written in a few RP's where Buffy and Sam attended college together and I think that was always one of my favourite scenario's... Then you came along and it's not like that at all and--GAH.

I love them being all Joe & Jane Normal together, finding things out about the other and them not quite adding up (--I'm looking at you, Smoking Mice!--) I loved Dawn's involvement in all of this. Her doing this to distract Buffy with his dimples and hot lusty thoughts was totally in character; she always struck me as a sort of... Act first, think later person and it fits that she'd be panicking after she realised Buffy wasn't having lusty-feelings so much as love-feelings.

Which brings me to Dean/Faith. I've always been more of a Dean/Cordelia or a Dean/Anya kind of girl (again; mostly due to RP's) but oh THIS. They totally fit! And I would definitely read more of that pairing from you...

Which leads me neatly onto Buffy and Sam. My OTP of all the Crossovers (and I've had a few, lol). Honestly, they were so very in character - your Sam is adorable and your Buffy is just spot on and together, they just make me squee. I loved how you fit the two 'verses together, how you remained in-character with EVERY character (Willow, Angel, Spike, Dean...) and oh, the ending. Is it wrong that I wish that had actually happened on screen? (Probably not, I'm such a crossover whore, lmao.)

Anyway, I'm going to stop rambling now and go do something I always do when I find fic such as this... Read it again. ;) Wonderful fic. If you happen to write a sequel or even another Buffy/Sam, I'll be over in the corner waving pom-poms and generally squeeing because fic this good is raaaaare!! XD *loves*
Comments from author:
I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! When I went into it, I was actually a big Dean/Buffy fan, so I was wondering if I'd be able to pull off a believable Sam/Buffy fic. But they just ended up fitting together so well, and they were so damn CUTE! lol! I had tons of fun writing this, so it makes me really happy when I hear that it made other people happy reading it. :-) There is definitely a chance there for a sequel (who doesn't want to see John show up and get splashed with holy water? lol!), but as to when, or even if, it'll get done, I'm not sure. But the possibility is there! :-D Thanks again for stopping in to check out my story and thanks so much for the wonderful review!

This story blew me away. I'm practically vibrating with happy energies right now. Thank you for writing such good stuff.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I wanted it to be fun and light, so I'm happy to hear it left you "vibrating with happy energies"! LOL! (and sorry it took me so long to respond to your review, when I saw it in my e-mail, I thought it was for The Cure for Boredom and that I'd already answered it... *facepalm*) Thanks so much for stopping in to check it out and for leaving such a nice review! :-)

Review:
I love this story. It's amazing how you managed to keep everyone in character, construct an adventure story, throw in just the right amount of drama and conflict, and include several laugh-out-loud incidents. I especially appreciate the way you took this AU, fixing things (or at least giving us the hope they've been fixed) before things could go bad the way they did on the respective shows. I'm glad Fred is still Fred, Wesley is still alive, nobody seems to be dying or going to hell at this point, and families are coming together. Is Connor at Stanford in this universe? Thanks for a great story.
Comments from author:
Oh crap, I can't believe I forgot to reply to this fantastic review! So sorry! Thanks so much for stopping in to check out my story, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :-) And I'm glad you liked the way I ended it - I know things were about to go downhill in the Angel-verse, but I wanted to give hope that things in SPN wouldn't play out like in canon. And you made an EXCELLENT point about Connor! I'd never even thought about that. If I ever do a sequel I'll have to throw him in there to add to the insanity. lol! Thanks again for the wonderful review!

I loved this story so much I downloaded it for my Kindle and reread it along with Gone. I really love the way you wrote Sam/Buffy and I loved the way you wrote Dean/Buffy in the story Gone. You do such a wonderful job of writing the character of Buffy. I really hope you come out with a new story soon. I miss reading your updates and I look forward to you getting another idea.
Comments from author:
Yay! I love being Kindled! *does a little dance* I'm so glad you enjoyed my stories enough to want to read them again. :-) I'm taking a little break, but know that I still have a ton of ideas for Buffy crossovers, so I'm sure it won't be too long before you see something new from me. :-P Thanks again for your wonderful reviews, KnightOwl!

I loved this story from start to finish, so thank you for your hard work because it really paid off!

In terms of what specifically I loved from the final chapter: Sam's relationship ground rule being "no more dying"; Buffy's trust of Angel's word that the Sam problem was over; and of course I loved the final "have your cake and eat it" callback line.

Very good work all around.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention again how much I heart Mrs. Stanowski and her gypsy porn peddlers. I also like that the home team seems to be regarding her somewhat like the weather--something to be endured, and occasionally enjoyed, but ultimately not an entirely bad thing to have around.
Comments from author:
Aw, thanks so much, SlowMercury! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And love your thoughts on Mrs. Stanowski - you really hit the nail on the head there. :-D Thanks for all your great reviews, I really appreciate them.

Review:
Someone should write a poem about how great this story is. Seriously. It deserves poetry. I would write you this poem, but I hate poetry - which doesn't mean that I think that you deserve something that I hate, but more that everyone else seems to like that crap, and maybe you do, too. Point is? I have great love and affection for this story. Whenever I got an email in my box letting me know that you had updated it, my day was brightened as this story was such a pleasure to read!!

Every chapter brought smiles, humor, laughter, and such sweetness. But the best part was that this story wasn't fluff. You had an actual plot line with character development, movement, action, adventure and drama - and yet you did it all in such a light-hearted manner, that even when it was dark, the angst was actually quite lacking. Perhaps this is strange to admit, seeing as how my own stories fairly drip with angst, but I found the lack thereof to be refreshing and delightful. Every word of this story felt like that first smell of spring, and it revitalized me even as it positively made me grin and stifle my laughter (boss watching, you know how it is).

So thank you. Thank you for putting your talent to such great use and not only entertaining with your hard work, but for brightening my life with your contribution to the fandom. You do us all a great credit.
Comments from author:
Wow, I think I should write some poetry about how awesome this review was. :-P I'm so, so glad you enjoyed the story! And if someone wants to write poetry or sing songs or set up a shrine in its honor, I'm not going to complain. But amazing reviews like the one you left are more than enough for me. You pointing out the lack of angst and saying how it was fun but not pure fluff seriously made my day because that's exactly what I was going for. I wanted to keep it interesting but not stressful - something people could just enjoy reading. Thanks so much for stopping in to check out my story and for the amazingly kind review.

Aww, that was so sweet how everything pretty much tied itself up at the end. Of course, even with hunting on the backburner, there will be things the Winchesters will take up hunting again for. Add in Buffy and her Slayers, it's a guarantee, so there's room for one-shots if it hits your fancy.

Yeah, I wouldn't care if Faith's leftovers looked like that, too, lol. ;)

Yeah, their life will absolutely never be boring. lol! There will always be something out there for them to get into. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave so many great reviews! :-)

aww, it's already over? I loved it! Will you ever do a sequel? Btw, I have to tell you... The headline of my local newspaper today, was 'The Powers That Be'. I swear it's true! I just had to tell somebody that would get why I giggled everytime I saw it at work. Anyway, can't wait to see what you come up with next! Ja ne!

"The Powers that Be", huh? LOL! That's awesome! I don't have any plans to do a sequel, but who knows, maybe the urge will hit me one day. *shrugs* Thanks so much for reading and all of your wonderful reviews! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Awesome ending.
Throughout the fic you got everyone's character spot on. You made Buffy, well Buffy and you didn't make her weak or unlikable which some writers tend to do. Also, you got me to like Dawn, which for me is very hard! LOL!
I loved the banter between all the characters and Mrs Stanowski was an awesome OC. I haven't laughed so much at one character for a long time. She was utter genius and then having Faith take her to a strip club was brilliant!
I can't wait to see what you come up with next hon! This was an awesome fic.

Thanks so much, AG! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! :-D If it weren't for you guys over at The Rooftop, it probably would have never gotten written. Thanks again for all your awesome reviews and support!
