I love it! At this point in canon, Hank's really not that much of a d-bag. Yeah, he had her committed, but let's be honest. If your child burnt down a school building and then claimed that it was full of vampires, what would you do? Call a psychiatrist, for sure.

Never actually seen SG1, but have picked up lots from reading various fic. I like Janet, and I like that she's going to be around. Excited to read more. :)

ETA: I hope it takes awhile for Buffy to figure out/get to the SGC. I feel like a lot of authors rush it, and I think it wouldn't be that straight forward. At least Buffy hasn't had the Initiative to scar her with relation to the armed forces.

Other than the odd feeling from the Mountian every now and then, it will be a few chapters before Buffy is introduced to the SGC.

I like this one. First, that you've set the time-frame for while Buffy still has contact with her father and second that you've put him in NORAD but not the SGC.

Based on the fact that Janet is just moving in, I'm going to guess the lockdown was due to the Touched disease in Broca Divide? It'll be interesting to see what happens when Cassie moves in with Janet.

I like this story idea. Ok, it's really sad, but it's unusual to see a "good Hank" story, not to mention getting him & Buffy over to the SGC. Usually it's Buffy and Joyce (if at all). Next door to Janet F. is even more fun.
The Council will definitely send someone eventually but not for a while. Kendra likely got 'chosen' so she'll be sent to the Hellmouth (I'll bet) and that will distract the council quite a bit. Maybe Wesley will show up? It'd be funny if he got a job at the SGC (linguistics/ ancient languages) to be around Buffy... I bet the SGC constantly searching for ancient language experts would end up with them at least trying to recruit people who were watchers....
If Janet notices Buffy leaving on 'patrol' she might get suspicious ... but she'd think B. needed counseling. Displays of super abilities would get any SGC person suspecting Goa'uld or some such...

Wesley will be putting in an apperance. Glad you like the idea, it was a plot bunny that has been gnawing away at my resolve, so I decided to give into it. Hope you like where I go with it.
