Creepy carnivale is creepy, but it IS a rather clever security system. (Good for Fern!) When dinosaurs were sighted, I was all "OH CRAP! I HOPE THAT'S NOT THE JURASSIC PARK DIMENSION" because GOD, those velociraptors are like the creepiest dinosaurs ever. Luckily they could easily shut the doorway to that dimension and avoid a game of Buffy and co vs. Velociraptors.

So the magical community here is kinda like the magical community in HP 'verse? Trying to keep their existence hidden from non-magicals? That makes a lot of sense, especially considering the whole witch burning thing. I mean, I know that happened hundreds of years ago, but some people would probably still attempt to burn witches at the stake or people they think are witches anyway...an actual witch would probably be able to get away...

(Sure, he liked to know where she was, what she was doing, who she was with, what she was wearing, what she was thinking - but that didn’t mean he was hounding-)
LOL. Keep telling yourself that, Eric... I love the guy but, damn he's an obsessive hound of a vamp. He IS pretty relentless in his pursuit of Buffy.

Not!Buffy obviously rattled the guy though, so I feel kinda bad for him. Hopefully Buffy will be able to nip some of those insecurities in the butt sometime soon, after the W&H problem is dealt with. Love how both Buffy and Eric thought the other was another imposter after dealing with Not!Rasul and Not!Buffy respectively.

Curious about how a Willow-Fern meeting will turn out.

Yay for Jake still being alive! I hope for his sake that Fern isn't too much like Circe.

That was a hilariously disturbed chapter with the truly weird carnival of extra-dimensional strangeness. Buffy should definitely do more adventuring with Hadley and Amelia. They compliment each other in both funny and effective ways.

Okay, Amelia is officially too stupid to live. Which is why this?

“You are so fucking stupid,” Hadley told Amelia seriously. “I’m going to laugh when you die, just so you know.”

...should be on a t-shirt worn by anyone who is EVER around her. Seriously. Someone should have bound her power years ago & sent her on her way to live as a regular human, b/c she is a fucking moron. And hopefully Buffy can ditch her now b/c Buffy doesn't really need her (& even if she needs a witch, Amelia has proven too incompetent to trust with anything), & Amelia isn't even a very good friend. Even Hadley would be better company than her, & Hadley makes me want to stake her almost every time she opens her mouth. I did like her giving up Jake like that, though. One less headache all the way 'round. Poor Eric! Here's one time I feel bad for him...not too bad, though. B/c if he'd just minded his own fucking business, he wouldn't have gone through any of this. & he wouldn't have the doubts he now has (which I'm sure will cause complications between he & Buffy). So now Buffy has to bring Willow back? Ugh. Okay, I guess. As long as Dawn doesn't come along for the trip (or come back...ever). I did like Fern's weird security measures...really makes someone think twice about returning to bother her again--though, yeah, she seems more than a little batshit crazy. & who was oh-so-interested at the end? Lucifer? Wolfram & Hart where the Senior Partners TRULY exist (ie: Hell)? Can't wait to find out. Good chapter.

Poor Jake. I imagine that getting turned into a vamp is probably one of the worst things that can happen to a werewolf. If it's really easy for a vamp to outrun those little piranha were puppies, did he basically just commit suicide? God, what an awful way to go, having the meat ripped off your bones like that. Poor guy.

Good chapter. I liked that Eric realized he's controlling yet still tracked down Buffy. & yeah, she's secretive, but he KNOWS she has her reasons! Hello, she isn't even from this dimension! LOL & man, Amelia bugs something fierce. Between her & Hadley, I'm surprised Buffy didn't just stake one & burn the other. Seriously. I would not put up with that mess. I like the idea of mini-werewolves, cracked me up a bit. & of course Amelia can't do even one spell correctly (or think to check to see how it will react w/ the witch's current wards)...no wonder she's a novice or in training or whatever. Girl deserves to be purple for life b/c she is just too dumb to live most of the time. Hoping Buffy doesn't have to deal with either witch or vamp for too long b/c she has enough on her plate w/ Eric, Rasul, Sophie-Anne & her other responsibilities. Can't wait to see what Eric saw!
