Review of chapter "Chapter Two." from Ltlconf
Review:
Howdy,

Hmmm, damn Buffy humble much? Lest not even go into that the second time ya died NO ONE WAS CALLED...so no dear (let me break it to you gently) you are NOT THE Slayer. Hurts, I know, and the show IS called after you and its not your fault Joss ignored that Empire State Building-sized plot hole, but it is what it is.
But...good idea to NOT rub Wes's nose in you NOT calling him back to service (whether he'd say no or not) or that that you trash Faith's status as Slayer after he's made his peace with her.
Ahhh, that Buffy ego in full bore again!

Anyhow, yah gotta love her bein' concerned over things even when it ain't her business, but she'd better pull in her horns and let Wes lead the fight.
Also liked that Cordy concerend her as well and that she's willin' ta give the woman another chance. Be intersted to find out how she's not with Wes and the gang.

Oh and nice touch about the passport: you're right, it was booked overseas and unless Buffy got a license and kept it up to date it may be void in a few years. Besides, it'd make sense for her to become a UK citizen or at least get a long-term visa...so yeah, the hotel may well have asked for the passport if Buffy lacked any other ID.
Worked a hotel as security so I've seen it done. However if she had a UK license, many would take that!
Comments from author:
Cheers,
Actually that whole thing about the passport brought up some stuff I'd not really thought about (bad me). Does Buffy actually have a license if so is it British or US. Some of this may be answered later on. Also the thing about the visa is something else I'd not thought of and it effects all the US personnel at Slayer Central, I expect they've all got resident's visas. Perhaps they might take out duel citizenship if they're all going to stay in the UK long term.

Thought provoking stuff...or I could deal with it like JW did by not dealing with it!

One quibble so far. Buffy is an american citizen by birth - no hotel is going to ask to see her passport. Lots of Americans don't even have them. They just ask to see your Driver's License for ID, which is the most common form of ID here in the States.

EDIT: As someone born in CA, who lived there until at least 20 years of age, she *would* have either a CA Driver's License or CA Identification Card. It's inconceivable that she would not have had one or the other. She wouldn't be able to effectively function in modern society or enroll in college without one. Either way, that's what she would show to the hotel.
Comments from author:
Interesting...I shall remember that.

But, did Buffy ever get her license? Also the room was booked from England (although that is not actually stated but as she's living in England its safe to assume that's what happened). So as she's someone traveling in from overseas it felt logical to be asked for her passport.

Cheers,
Dave.

The Hidden/Buffy crossover! So which version, Claudia Christian or Kate Hodge? Cordy was acting? Well done, she performed your lines very well indeed. Now that weird dialog between Fred and Wussley, where did that come from?

Reply 5/11/11: Claudia's character died unfortunately but Kate was the carrier's daughter (I think) years later in Hidden II. It wasn't as entertaining though, lots of angst.

No not the Weasely family please! Just Wuss from Buffy season 3. I just resented his scornful attitude when Buffy went to them for assistance and information, which they already had. But great news there is no WRH!
Comments from author:
There's another version of The Hidden? I only know the one with Claudia Christian...met her once.

Fred and Weasely? Just a bit of dire Straits.

More surprises from Cordy soon!

Cheers,
Dave.

Winifred and Wesley teh hehehehe =D!. I like 'hem, they're very likeable, and Harmony, the least menacing vamp in the west coast together with Doyle, was a very funny touch =D.
And Buffy's befuddlement about the whole situation was... veery Buffy like =).
So they don't know about the aliens, that means no SGC??.
Cool chapter, see ya!!.
Comments from author:
Cheers.

When I was writing this series I had to decide what existed and what didn't. One of the things that had to go was the SGC, but that didn't stop me writing a SG1 xover!

I always liked Doyle it was a pity he 'left'. In fact I liked most of the Angel main characters except for one...I wonder if you can guess who that might be!

Sorry but you cannot get lost in LA, mainly because if you step off a main street you're suddenly in a neighborhood with leafy trees, lawns hedges and driveways. There is nothing confusing about a street grid layout, just turn around and follow the traffic noise. There is that thing about Cordy being her uber self? Looking forward to more.
Comments from author:
I'm used to London, that a couple of random turns and...hey where am I!?

But we are talking Buffy here, I think she could get lost anywhere!

There's more to Cordy than meets the eye!

Dave.

Cool fic dude, and I really liked the movie you're basing this fic; let's see how Buffy can handle such a dangerous enemy and learn to trust the cops.
Cool chapter, see ya!.
Comments from author:
Before I wrote this I'd been looking for a way to do a 'Hidden' xover for a few years. Hope I get it right.

More soon.

Cheers,
Dave.
