Review of chapter "But What Really Knocked Me Out..." from lillyb
Review:
smoldering hot.
Comments from author:
Wow. That review sounds like it came off the back of an actual AB book. I am flattered.

Review of chapter "But What Really Knocked Me Out..." from PATM
Review:
Larry gets the detailed exposition?!! Harmony,Willow, Joyce and Giles oh my! You will really bring these characters to life, I stopped reading the books after Obsidian Butterfly when the Faery fixation hit the shelves. Ignorance is Bliss I say. hee hee.
Comments from author:
Ah, Larry... I have plans for him. Yeeees. Plans.

Obsidian Butterfly is my favorite AB book, with Lunatic Cafe a close second. After taking three months to wade through Narcissus in Chains, when I can usually devour a book in a week or two, I became wary of the series. I still love the characters, but the plot... and the derailment that I've heard about puts me off. Here's to ignorance!

Review:
Oh, I love this one, especially Larry^^^.

TY.
Comments from author:
Larry, we hardly knew him. But with Xander keeping on eye on his new 'friend' maybe he'll survive past graduation? Eh?

You're very welcome.

Review of chapter "But What Really Knocked Me Out..." from Dilvish
Review:
Interesting story.

It should be "ma mal├ędiction" instead of "mon juron". A "juron" could also be translated by "swearword" (although it would be funny to see Xander starting to use Snyder as a swearword).

Update as soon as you can.
Comments from author:
Ah, okay. But I thought 'ma' was for girls...? *giggle* I'm tempted to leave it, though. I can so see Xander saying "snyder-fucker!" which would become the ultimate insult throughout Sunnydale.

Edit: Thought about it. Went back and changed to 'mal├ędiction'. Thanks for the review!

Review of chapter "But What Really Knocked Me Out..." from MagnusXXN
Review:
If I remember correctly, having read all of the Anita Blake series...while JC had a thing with Asher he mostly seemed to enjoy the females. So, its a safe bet that he was only bi. So don't forget to add some fems into his snacks.

Harmony being funny. I'm enjoying it. Its so rare in anything. ; )

Willow the viking? Crazy choice, but it seems to be working.

Buffy the crazy fire starting bible thumper? An even crazier choice. Dunno how I feel about that one, but still interested to see what happens next.

Giles as Dead Dave. Neat. Though, not alot of him was seen in the series.

Joyce has Saphren? Well, yes that would make since. And her control of ghosts would be very cool. As was her having JC has her little cabana boy, and turning vamps so she could have her on 'family' unit.

Write more soon. Very nice.

): )
Comments from author:
I haven't read the whole series, Cerulean Sins is daring me to pick it up from where it is sitting on my windowsill, but I've Anita-wiki'd a lot. Pretty sure you're right about JC's orientation, and Snyder DID make that comment about the cheerleaders, and he does have Harmony in his corner (but then she's in everyone's corner). Heh. Xander as the shadow-king sex god of the school... fun, fun times.

And Harmony, she is a total ditz in cannon, but I love her all the more for it. As much as Willow may not like the blonde, her possessive, protective-of-my-shit viking side won't turn her away. And then there's the whole, my people raided your country, you ran screaming, let's bond thing they have going on.

Buffy... I don't intend for her to be overly religious, but Warrick definitely left an impression, and she IS smiting demons. How much more of the Lord's work can you get? I myself was sadly disappointed that Dead Dave didn't get much screen time. He was an ex-cop, with a chip on his undead shoulder and an ear to the supernatural community, why did Anita not use him more often? It was like he just vanished after the first book, only mentioned once or twice afterwards. But Hamilton's waste is my gain! Woot!

Very glad you approve of Joyce's Halloween persona. It causes all sorts of funny dynamics in the group, and you know it'll come in handy during the whole 'Only have eyes for you' episode.

Review of chapter "Prolog: Some Kinda Party..." from TwoBlackDragons
Review:
Evil Author\Muse = one who doesn't finish stories they start.
And this is a terrific story, so please stop being one of the Evilest of Authors\Muses.
Comments from author:
But I have so many stories that need attention! I would love to do nothing but sip Dr. Pepper, eat cookies, and write fanfic all day... alas, we cannot. Still, you may be pleased to know that my muse has been showing some interest in this story again. You may have a new chapter... relatively soon. Relatively.

Review of chapter "Prolog: Some Kinda Party..." from Gideon
Review:
Great first chapter. You have chosen some characters that I would never have guessed. I also like the focus on how their personality and life experience is now dwarfed by their memories of another life. They all kept their fangs but they are not dead, not vampires - or are they? What will they eat in the days to come?
Comments from author:
Thank you. The personality thing just made sense to me, and no, they aren't vampires. Part of the challenge was to not turn them, but allow them to keep some abilities. However, Anita Blake vampires don't just feed on blood, they get Power from it, and what they eat can effect them. Animal blood, for one thing, will be a no-no in the Summers household.

And if I ever get this to the fifth season... heh. Willow, Olaf, and Anya. In a bar. *snort*

Review of chapter "Prolog: Some Kinda Party..." from draconis
Review:
I agree with others. The potential is great.

First chapter is funny and quite tantalizing, although I'm not too keen on seeing Buffy be devout and all repent-y.

I'm trying to figure out why except for the fangs you didn't change Harmony at all........buh-dum-bump.

By the way, you might consider treading VERY lightly on using languages. It's ok at the start, and when used MINIMALLY in on-going chapters it's useful....but IF over-done through out a story it inevitably will seem forced and can become irritating to readers.

Edit to respond to author's reply:
Great to hear! A smite-y Buffy is a happy Buffy!
Comments from author:
Don't worry about Buffy. While she will be going to church on a regular basis, she's more smite-y than repent-y. The many lives of the Slayer she carries around in her help dilute Warrick's influence. And a slayer with pyrokinetic powers? No one will escape the righteous wrath of Buffy!

Also, don't worry. I'm sooo cutting down on other-language use after this chapter. Mostly it was to show how much of the other people got left behind. A few expressions may be sprinkled in, but on the whole our beloved scoobies will be putting quite the effort into English.
