Have him take her to a Fondu restaurant. For one, it gives you an excuse to check out a Fondu restaurant. Two, I imagine Buffy will be able to butcher the word 'Fondu' in several amusing ways. And if they get attacked she could make creative use of hot cheese as a weapon!

Well, with Spike dead, Angel is likely the only one that can use the amulet at the end. Plus, they have the extra knowledge and experience of Wesley and Bernie, and contact with Robin earlier.

However, without Wes staying in LA, does Angel stay in the water, and Cordelia ascended, or would Jasmine make it work out somehow anyways? And, when Conner forces his way back, how will Wes react? Perhaps he'll bring the Buffy crew with him, changing that situation?

I hope things continue to go well, this looks interesting, and I can't wait for more.

That's assuming that season 7 goes on like canon. I'm not sure I'd care about the AtS canon, but if I decide what I want to happen in LA, I'll at least mention them in passing.

Good update. If you are looking for a "normal" date, my husband took me to a dinner theater performance today. Could be funny if Buffy and Robin debated about whether an actor was actually a demon or just in REALLY good stage make-up.

There was a fun place in the Twin Cities (Minnesota) where you could watch a movie for $1 and order food like a hamburger or pizza to eat during the movie. I wonder if it's still open after all this time.

You see, Robin, in a world where we are only fiction, Joss Whedon though he was going to make more money by having a spin-off series based on Rupert Giles in the UK. He didn't realize that without a UK production partner he wasn't going to get on the air there, but leaped forward anyway.

LOL. The writers screwed the pooch when they had Giles leave like that.

I like how you're using Wesley in the story. He was always worth more than just being a love-sick puppy. He and Xander were developed and dropped in their respective series.

Given how he grew, I think the new version of Wes could be a kick-a** Watcher for Buffy. And by getting him out before he went all psycho (sleeping with Lilah and locking what's her name in the closet), he's still a decent human being.

Sorry that the updates are few and far between, but I won't forget the story completely.

Very good chapter. I liked that Wes managed to turn Buffy's own words back on her, to stress how wrong it was for her to keep that serious/big a secret from the gang.

It's funny 'cause when I had Buffy say that to Wes before, I hadn't intended for him to throw it back at her (I still hadn't decided how to let the Spike secret out at that point).
