I have 5 more chapters done so I will post them 'soonish'. Then I will try to finish this (the epilogue is done, but there are 10 chapters missing in the middle).

Very interesting beginning, and I hope to see more of this soon! I'm curious now about whether there's actual magic involved, or just sufficiently advanced science. I hope it is magic, that's often more interesting, and it's always fun to watch the scientists splutter.
It seems like both groups are preparing to meet one another, even if they don't exactly know what they're preparing for, so hopefully the first meeting will go well...
