Off to a good start, I see. I like the addition of a Slayer to get him there/**TRY** to keep him outta trouble(I'm thinking epic fail, considering . . .) and in general, a good re-write, though I notice you changed Spider-girl's name for this one. A tad distracting, but completely cool as well. You writing skills, already damned good, are even better than normal. Kudos! ^_^

And I changed Gwen/Renée because they added the S8 Slayer Renee and I didn't want any sort of confusion with the character analysis engine, and Gwen was similarly twigging as Gwen Raiden or whatever the A:tS girl was known as.

Actually, looking at this chapter at the moment, I think the "kill bad HTML" engine ate a paragraph or three. I'll need to compare to my master when I get home. There might be a few hundred more words in this chapter by the time I post Chapter 2.

Cassandra Eleanor Lang's name is correct, but as for the other two, I assume that you meant Katherine Elizabeth Bishop [Hawkeye], and Jessica Drew [Spider-Woman].

Oh hey, they gave Kate a middle name in between when I wrote the first version back in August '06 (the same month the original limited series ended) and now? Cool beans. Not going to edit my story because I have plans for Beatrice, but cool beans. And no. Bekah is an OC. She is related to Jessica Drew, has spider-powers, and like Jessica has a middle name that indicates who one of her parents is...

So, here we go again?
Can't say I see much difference yet, other than the detailed notes and explanations claiming there'll be a difference and a feeling that there's a bit more detail involved which is always good. Whatever. I liked the original story, and you rewrites are usually better. I do wish for Blue Belle, HPDaE or other stuff, but since I only write when the muse hits me, I certainly can't complain. Still, one can hope one comic revival might get the other going.
Any reason for not actually naming the Slayer Xander came with?

There's actually about 700-800 added words not counting notes. The new Slayer actually accounts for only half of that, the rest is details. And I originally kept her name out of things because I was vacillating between a number of different Slayers that could be the one who tranqed and dragged him. By the time I figured it out, I decided not to go back and rewrite because it'd be more interesting that way.

Props for throwing in "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything"; I *HEART* da VeggieTales! I'm already liking this "Ultimate Edition" better, but I might, just may be, biased.

See, I have this weakness for entertaining authors...stories! Entertaining author's stories! Avoiding confusion there.

It should be a fun ride. Bit worried about luring back past readers, that they'll only know it's here and updated and interesting when I finally get past where the old versions were and merge the stories together and they start getting emails.

Considering the picture is a transparent PNG, I'd be more than a little amused if you could see anything. o_O

And considering the borderline flames you normally hand out, that's practically a compliment.

My Guilty Pleasure has returned. Thanks for starting this back up. You write some of the craziest stuff and this has always been one of the most fun. I can't wait for more.

This one actually has a bunch of new stuff, hence the repost instead of editing an old copy. Chapters are about a quarter to half again as big and are a more uniform length, there's an all-new subplot involving X-23 (who's now a Young Avenger), Gwen/Renée obviously got renamed into Rebekah, and this is just stuff we'll be learning in Part 1 (Chapters 1-8) of 4.
