I'm doing a happy dance! I've missed this fic, so I'm exceedingly happy to see a new chapter. Thanks for writing it.
Good for Sirius working his Slytherin roots on Petunia. Just a few signatures more and Harry will be where he belongs. I can't wait to read more. Take care!
Beautifully done. The handling of the Snape Situation was a perfect way to go. Even though Snape was a bastard, he was incredibly brave and didn't deserve his awful destiny...after making one horrible mistake. You resolved it cleverly, giving us a degree of closure and justice without being fluffy. Sirius is maturing in a fantastic way here...everything is so wonderfully textured and complex. And I'm talking about character complexity most of all. That's so hard to do! Anyhow, terrific scene with Petunia, as well. I love this mature, ruthless yet thoughtful Sirius!

Review of chapter "Chapter Fifteen" from mithrilandtj
Review:
Snape had a muggle father Why couldn't he get a legitimate job in the Muggle world?
Comments from author:
As what, third homeless guy on the left at the side of the road, holding up a sign saying 'Will make potions for food'? He went to Hogwarts at eleven, spent all his life then in the magical world, and has no records of his existence in the muggle world since after his tenth birthday. A blank sheet of paper as a resume isn't going to impress any potential employer. Besides, in canon, Snape's father was a bully and a drunk, resulting in that half-blood wizard loathing this older man and also the entire muggle world.

I can *see* that entire chapter - the quiet lounge, the fierce emotions on their faces, all framed by the carefully-unnoticeable lawyer and the sleeping Dursleys and Harry. And the flash of light, bright as day...
Okay, that's Sirius playing by his own rules and reading the situation well enough to work around all that Dumbledore's tried. It's going to be fascinating to watch Dumble's reaction when he finds out that the Dursleys have moved overseas and, later, that they've transferred custody and guardianship of Harry to someone else, someone Albus and the rest of the wizarding world believe dead. It should be quite fascinating to watch how Sirius manages to properly help Harry become all he should be and prepare him for what's coming (I'm assuming that certain broad strokes of the pattern of events won't change, much though the details around them will). I quite suspect things will get quite "interesting" for all concerned. -wicked chuckle- It should be rather fascinating to see where Harry's admission letter from Hogwarts is sent.
