Some people might hope to guide/direct/manipulate him and his friends, but they'll have to be very cautious about doing so, or they'll be discovered, and that'll just piss everyone involved off, even more than they are normally. ;-)

Hmm fun start to what could be an interesting story. Liked the cliffhanger ending too. (How long are we meant to hang for an update?). Looking forward to the "dig" tale!!

Working on the next chapter, but I'm mostly preoccupied buy the August Fic-A-Thon challenge at the moment.

Okay: I'm definitely intrigued. This is a pretty good opening, and it does a good job of raising a lot of questions. I'm guessing from the summary that Xander has spent some time working with the SGC (and may even still be employed by them) as a civilian consultant, but I suppose you might be being very sneaky there as you didn't specify it was the United States Air Force, and juuuuuuuust might mean the RAF instead. ;-) (Okay, probably not, but there's a tiny smidgeon of a possibility...)
Anyhoo, whenever your muse permits you to post the next chapter, I'll be there. :-)
Thanks for posting, and good luck!
El ;-)

All I can say at the moment is that the SGC won't be showing up for a good number of chapters.
Remember, Daniel Jackson isn't the only archeologist in the world who's stumbled across unusual items. ;-)
